Complaint Review: Axiom Merchant Services - Mesa Arizona

Hello All,

I was doing some research on expanding my business to now include Merchant services and found what I thought to be the perfect name so I searched the interwebs about starting a Merchant Services company with the premius on being a very transparent and Honest company and the irony of this happing with the name "Axiom"is to funny.

Which leads me to my question "do you all think that It is possable to use this name and be succsessful", or once a business name has been trashed its better to be "laid to rest" 

is It even possible to have these removed?

 Credit card processing business owners indicted on fraud, money laundering charges

The proprietors of Valley credit card payment processing companies have been indicted on money laundering and wire fraud charges by a federal grand jury in Phoenix.

Sean Clinton Mecham, 36, Ashley Brisbin Mecham, 27, Jonathan L. Cannon, 31, and Jake Brisbin, 26, were indicted on various charges this month. They were executives and employees at Icon Payment Solutions, Axiom Merchant Services and Oracle Payment Services, according to court documents.

Prosecutors allege the Mechams deposited $2.9 million worth of ill-gotten gains into accounts they controlled and used the money to buy a luxury boat, Mercedes and Maserati cars and off-road trucks for racing.

Their companies processed credit card payments for retailers and other businesses. The indictment charges the quartet with misleading customers into signing leases for credit card machines and forging as many as 200 business owners and managers signatures.

They also were charged with changing contract terms after business clients signed other agreements. Sales prospects were told they would pay lower credit card fees if they signed up with the defendants’ companies.

The Better Business Bureau and other consumer websites also list complaints against the company and the executives. One consumer complaint says there may be some family link between Sean Mecham and deceased former Arizona governor Evan Mecham.

Ashley Mecham and Jake Brisbin were arraigned on charges Nov. 7 in Los Angeles and were released. Cannon was arraigned in Phoenix on Nov. 12, according to prosecutors. Sean Mecham is still in custody pending trial, according to prosecutors. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for Arizona want Sean Mecham held arguing he is a flight risk, skipped court hearings for civil complaints against his companies and has previously withdrawn large amounts of cash. Court documents also show prosecutors claiming Sean Mecham threatening employees, family members and others from talking about his business dealings.

Mecham and other defendants could not be reached for comment. David Eisenberg, a Phoenix white-collar defense attorney, could end up representing Sean Mechem. Eisenberg said he has not yet been assigned to the case and declined further comment.

The numbers of that business in the investigation have been disconnected or are no longer in service.

I wish I'd seen this earlier before I made all these payments (12).   I called the sales person who sold me the 'lease' and he told me how the company was a scam and that he had left them because of it.  He also told me to stop payment from my bank account.  But a couple months later, I received constant harassing phone calls from the Lease Finance Company, threatening me telling me my credit will go down if I don't pay.  Of course, I tried to contact Axiom who changed its name to Oracle, and the last couple months, the phone numbers I had for them were no longer working!   Finally, the Lease Finance people called to get another payment from me, I told them I no longer own the business.  They said since I still have 36 payments left ($1500) they can let me pay it off.  They can give me a discount and I will only have to pay $1100!!!!!

Is it true if I refuse to pay the Lease company they will go after the Axiom guy instead of going after me?

First of all I am the original one who posted I went by Karma is a b*****. If you are called by a company with the name ORACLE PAYMENT SYSTEMS out of arizonia -  beware. Look up reviews for the company called Axiom Merchant Services or Icon Payment Solutions. You will find that they are all the same exact company, run by the same person, committing the same scams. If you value you hard earned money you will not sign up with them. The owners name is Sean Mecham

I am so sorry to hear about this problem you have had. If you want straight and honest processing please allow me yo help you. I am a rep for first data. I have zero monthly fees, no hidden fees, no application fees. The only two fees i have is a statement fee, but if you sign up for paperless billing it is waived, and a $5.00 customer service fee! AND ZERO CANCELLATION FEES! I do not believe in hurting my merchants! If its 3am and something is wrong I will be there, not some techie in india that can't speak english.

i worked at the call center in mesa for a month. Awful job nothing like a place of buisness at all. I was ultimately fired for being" upset about my paycheck", which i was since they did not give me a paycheck and i had no idea when if ever i would get one. Its been a week since i've been fired and all calls to the company and manager tenisha baker have gone unanswered. They still owe me 800 dollars and i've been leaving messages trying to get a hold of anybody. I dont think i will ever get the money owed since i overheard the owner talking about how he was going to withhold somebodies check who had just quit.

I'm their vendor, attpos.net and they have ripped us off.  Sean Mecham / Brian Peterson are pieces of s*** who bought credit card equipment from us, attpos.net to resale or lease to their clients back in November of 2011, worth of 30k and never paid.  They stopped returning phone calls and emails from us, and could not be found. I later found out that Sean is also associated with Icon Payment Solutions Inc in AZ.  These scumbags go around ripping and stealing from vendors, clients, and their employees as well.  I have filed a complain with bbb, working with an attorney to sue these a**holes.

I also use to work for this company both as ICON and Axiom and I was a sales rep. I was flown out to AZ and was feed all kinds of BS from Jon and Sean. Then when I get back home and start running the appointments I was doing good or so I thought. i signed up a bunch of people and I thought I was really going to be saving them money but I was not at all I still feel bad for ever signing people up but with that being said I have to second what was said in the review, as a business owner read everything before you sign it. i no longer work for this company but I am still owed over $3000 dollars from bounced check fees and commissions I have never seen. I can't believe a company can do this and just get away with it and I have tried to find help to get my money from them and I can't find anyone that will go after them. Every time i did get a check in the mail it was 500+ lower than it was suppose to be and then the check would bounce every time. I would call Sean or John and tell them and then they would get me another check and then that one would bounce too. I am with the guy that wrote this I want nothing more than to be able to see them out of business and on the streets I hate them and everything they do. I have never worked in merchant services so when i met with people I had all false information I didn't know what I was doing at all. It was only when I started doing research on the stuff that I found out that I was ripping people off in the worst way. Like the leases if you do a lease at even $39 a month which is low for what they try to sign you up at, lets do the math $39*48=$1872 for something that brand new cost $300. When you look at it this way you can see how the company makes so much money. This company has messed up my life when I took this job I thought I would be making good money but turns out that most of the time I was never paid because of this me and my family has moved from a nice three bedroom house to a small 2 bedroom apartment and we use to have 2 cars one that was a super nice car that I lost because of missed payments due to bounce checks. I will say that they helped me get the car back after a long time i almost lost it for ever oh wait i did because the next check I got bounced and missed that payment too. Now I live in an awful 2 bedroom and we only have one s***** car and leave paycheck to paycheck I have not been working for them for a while now and I am still trying to recover from what they did. they drain my savings got a repo on my record cost me to lose my house and even almost got me evicted out of my apartment. I know another person that doesn't work for them anymore and he was living on the street after they gave him checks that bounced it is so said . If you take a job with company you are f***** I promise you will make more from picking up cans on the road than you will working with them your paychecks will always bounce!!! I am still trying to find a lawyer and ex employees that will put together a law suite to get back everything we lost and make them pay for what they did I still can't belive than me and my family with two young kids almost had to live in a small 4 door car because of their bounced checks and not paying me.
