Bale Chevrolet should be exposed by all media for their dishonest practices. We bought a truck at one of their "Car Wars" type shows at the Clear Channel Metroplex, where they'll do anything to make a deal.

We traded in our truck, worked out the financing and signed the papers, complete with payment schedule and warranty information. The salesman prissed out, said "Congratulations!!" and handed us the keys.

We loaded up in OUR NEW TRUCK on that beautiful Saturday afternoon and proceeded to 'show off' to our friends and families this truck that we have worked so hard for.

To make a long story short, we received a phone call from Bale on the following Tuesday. It was the Salesman requesting that we return the truck because the financing did not work out. But we already signed all the papers!!

Needless to say, when we arrived back home Tuesday night in our "trade-in" truck, we felt embarrassed and humiliated. We never should have been handed the keys. The Salesman never should have said Congratulations. They never should have let us drive off the lot in a new truck. For a young married couple, purchasing our first new vehicle was such a fantastic accomplishment. Only to be crushed.

And just so you know, the VERY same thing happened to my brother a few months earlier. However, when they told him to return his Tahoe, they had already SOLD his Z71 (his trade-in) to someone else!!! Luckily, he got his truck back. But that, in turn, affected the other car buyer that thought they had his truck.

Only one more example... an acquaintance experienced the same thing, except they had sold her at auction and could not recover it for her. But of course they still wanted their 'new' car back.

THAT'S BAD BUSINESS!!! I encourage everyone to shop for cars ANYWHERE but Bale.

Dear Wanda, A trade in is not sold until the deal is completed. However, I have seen cases where there were stipulations from a lending company that could effect the transaction. For example a customer could put on a credit application that they made 30,000 income per year. The finance company would ask for proof of income ie tax return or year to date pay stub, We would put the customer in the vehicle. If the customer could not produce the documents we would have no choice but to ask the customer to return the vehicle. It is our hope that all customers are happy and we want everyone to be approved. Please understand that the complaint Brandi filed is very rare and as to her statement that a trade had been sold I would need more information so I could research what had happened. However we do not sale trades until we are sure the deal is complete.

Tim its nice to see some companies have been in business 90 years. But Brandi has a valid point. Why would the salesman give them the keys and give them congrats on a new truck when they couldn't get proper financing? Do you know how embarassing that would be? Any way what happens to a trade-in when that happens is it sold and can you sell it by law?

Bale Chevrolet has been in business for over 90 years. It is still a family owned and operated business. Any customer with a complaint can talk to the owner any day of the week. We would ask Brandi to come to the dealership to discuss her problem with one of the Bale Family Members.' Brandi needs to look at her papers. She will notice that Bale Chevrolet does not loan money, we sell cars. If she could not get a loan for a car, she would have recieved a letter from the lender explaining why she was denied credit. In the paper work it is explained that any car deal is not complete until credit is accepted or money has been recieved by Bale Chevrolet. We are sorry that Brandi feels the way she does about Bale Chevrolet, However if she could have gotten financing at another bank or credit union we would have honored our price. Respectfully
