Bang Printing/Sentinel Printing Promised press check for quality but delivered poorest quality printing Braqinerd MN
Bang Printing recently acquired Sentinel Printing. I am a book publisher and had been doing business with Sentinel for 20 years. The printing we received was very inconsistent and substandard campared to earlier printings of which Sentinel had done 15.
I was promised by the account executive that he would do a press check and had sent him sopies of good printings Sentinel had done. What we got back wasn't even close to the quality.
I came to find out that the account executive didn't do as he'd promised, he merely wrote on the work order to quality check the printing, which clearly was not done. The inking was blocky with some text nearly unreadable and the photos had no black, just a range of gray tones where you could even see the screen pattern, very poor.
The compny reviewed my compalint of a sloppy printing and determined that Amazon and other booksellers would still sell the book but Amazon and others aren't their customer, I am. That didn't seem to make any difference.
I had asked for them to alter the price of the printing to match their quality and that was turned down.
