Um...its been a well known fact for decades that if you take a check to a bank that is not yours, that there is often a fee. The mistake is yours, and since you were a business man, you should have already known this. The basic rule is always go to a bank or Creditunion that you have accts at. The exception is if you are giving money, then all of the above is not relevant. I understand your anger, but the banks are not in the business of cashing checks for non-account holders. Thats like saying that Subway restaurant should handle my pizza from Mazzios Pizza. or somewhat.
