When we opened our account we were told after direct deposit was set up we wouldn't have monthly fees anymore. After 3 1/2 yrs and talking to people face to face, (which we assumed would be better than calling the 800 number) We still have charges. After calling the 800 number they said that their records only go back 3 months so they could only credit my account a whole $15.

They have modified their systems and although I don't have direct deposit, they have kept their word to customers that I know personally (family members).

Look at your statement, not resolved to your satisfaction, then close your account

You get a statement every month. Look at it. As soon as you saw the fee that was in question, you should have checked into it. If the situation was not resolved to your satisfaction, then close your account. You're lucky they gave you fifteen dollars back. Most statements have the provision that you need to report any errors or concerns within 60 days in order to dispute them. Once again, reading would be useful here. I work at a bank, so I'm familiar with this situation. Your bank was being nice in refunding these legitimate fees, but they should have only given you 10.00 back. YOU ripped THEM off.
