Bank of America is ALL over Massachusetts. Isn't there a branch in or near Orleans? The best thing you can do is talk to a live person in the branch who will have internal access to get your transfer in process.

First, my condolences to your and your family for your loss. Now suggestions: I don't work for BOA but I would think the procedure should be similar to where I do work. What documents have you provided to them? What I would suggest is to get the address for their correspondenve team. Send a certified letter with the following: copy of certified death certificate; letter appointing you as executor of estate and detailed directions of what you want done with the money. It may be necessary to convert the account to an estate account to finalize any bills left and then the money could be distributed per the will or probate. If at all possible I would recommend to take these items to a BOA branch and do everything in person, but if not it should be possible to do this through the mail. Again, I'm sorry to hear of your loss and I hope my suggestions help you through a difficult time.
