I arrived at Baptist Hospital, Tuesday morning @ 11:00 suffering from Asthma. There were a lot of people in the emergency waiting area and I understood that I had some time to be seen. When they called me back and examined my condition, I was given an x-ray, a breathing treatment, robitussm and predinosone. Around an hour or so later, someone came into the room with discharge papers and prescriptions and told me to put on my clothes, now and to leave because there was someone in an ambulance who needs this room. I was not feeling any better than when I arrived, however, I did as they instructed. I left the hospital, got my prescriptions filled and later on that night around a little after 8:00 p.m., I called the ambulance because my asthma condition had worsen. The paramedics took my blood pressure which was higher than normal and my pulse was 130. I ended up staying in the hospital for 3 days. I felt that Baptist was insensative to my particular needs and I was very shocked, because that was the first time I ever received that type of treatment. Baptist has always made sure that I was in tip top condition before they release me, whether it was in or outpatient. However, I must say that I received extremely excellent service from the tech on the 5th floor and her name is Tina. Tina was exceptional and she made my hospital stay wonderful. Thanks

My first and only experience with having a momogram was at Baptist Hospital a few months ago. I was in and out within one hour. Everyone was very effecient and friendly. It's too bad that this individual had a bad experience. However, health professionals are human and make mistakes just as everyone else does. This person should have spoken up before two hours passed, rather than "making eye contact" with the technicians! As for sitting in the waiting room "partially dressed"... they give you a gown that is not exactly high fashion, but it does cover you (completely). I also have had a baby at Baptist and this too was a great experience (from paperwork to the staff.)I do not have one single complaint about anything at this hospital (except the food could have been a little better.) :)
