Barefoot Carpets ripoff unfair wages theft harassment threats to individuals unbusinesslike conduct Tampa Florida
Barefoot Carpets hired me as a subcontractor to do work for them. I did the work and turned in my bill. They then reworked my bill and shorted my check $200.00. The next week Barefoot Carpets had a problem with a contractor. Barefoot told my husband that they would supply the floor prep if I did the labor at a cheaper price. I did so.
I turned in my bill that week and they took supplies out.
For three weeks they took checks that were supposed to be over $1000.00 and turned them into $500.00 checks.I finally got smart and quit. The day that I quit the owner of Barefoot Carpets called my pregnant wife harassing her. He then drove out to the job that I was finishing in an attempt to harass me. The next day the owner continued to harass me and my wife. he left threatening messages on both of our voice mail.
I went to pick up my last check, which was supposed to be for $800.00, and I had a check for $205.11. It seems that the owner of Barefoot Carpets decided to take $150.00 of my check and give it to another subcontractor that said I owed him $150.00. Then he took out $90.00 for some kind of fee that in my 15 years of floor covering have never heard of and another $129.41 in supplies that he charged me for the week before. WHAT A RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!!
