BBVA VISA credit card department took their autopay feature offline from their website without any customer notification to me what so ever.

They are reluctant to admit this is THEIR error which has financially victimized me.

in July 2018 the bank credit card division assessed a late fee of $14 and then in August assessed another late fee of $28. Then in September the $14 late fee was credited back without interest accrued on it. They also reported this to the credit bureau That I was 2 months late with payments.  They also pulled a $1,000 from my line of credit.

Once I found out about this issue I made the requested payments and then had to resort to the checking account’s bill pay to set up payments so they would not be late.

i tried to contact them for a resolution and they said they could not put in a ticket for their errors because they had no record or account notes from the first representative however she did verify that autopay had been pulled offline. The second  Representative also verified it with their IT department. I then requested to speak with a member of management and spoke with Ricardo who put a ticket in for review and resolution.

i didn’t hear from them and saw no adjustments made to my account .

i next filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Burea who contacted them right away with my complaint. At first they had until September 22nd to reply and then they requested another 60 days for this problem that they caused.

I do not recommend this bank and certainly not their credit card.

i will be closing BBVA checking account by the first of November and returning to First Bank who has much better service.

I will transfer this credit card once I get justice from them and NEVER use it again!

If anyone out there is considering their promos to open an account and get a bonus on their checking account I will tell you I had a problem with that too and did not get the $150.

There are other better banks or credit unions to provide financial service.

This is YOUR checking account containing YOUR money. YOU had this auto-pay set up and for MULTIPLE months, YOU had NO IDEA. what was happening to YOUR money in YOUR account! YOU do not keep ANY records of YOUR account usage and YOU don't even balance YOUR account with the statement.

Further, since YOU don't even monitor YOUR own money in YOUR account, YOU have ZERO CLUE as to what other deductions there may have been that perhaps were fraudulent, nor do YOU know if there were any mistakes!

You aren't "ENTITLED" to anything! Anybody with COMMON SENSE keeps track of their own money in their own account. When will you people ever learn???

So if they pulled their autopay "offline" several months ago, how is that not national news? Seems like you wouldn't be the first one reporting this.  Or did this just happen to you and they were picking on you.

But that not withstanding, what did you do when you noticed that payments were not being deducted from your account back in July or that when you reviewed your credit card statement that you noticed no payment made and a late fee assessed? You do review your statments more than once every 3 months..right?
