Well just so everyone knows this, My Talent Service is not the customer service provider for Be, it IS BE, at least, it's its new name. Here is a copy of an email sent from Eric DeSando, FORMER CEO of Be.:

the company has been taken over by a conservatorship by the biggest debtor who has a UCC filing on any assets...meaning there is nothing left to return to customers. i have been removed from my position in the company and no longer have any power to help you. my recommendation is to use the services and discounts still available and not waste your time trying to get money from a company that is on the verge of bankrupcy. the conservator is still payintg to provide member benifits so use them!!

good luck

erik

So, there is no Be. Productions. It is now My Talent Service. Also, all of their TV Show websites (Say What and Kids! Unlimited) are "parked" and have nothing on them but advertisements from GoDaddy. The Big Talent Be's website has some stupid story about how the economy is bad now and so they are postponing the show and making it more "marketable" Take a look:

Production Notice-

The Big Talent Bee Championship Competition

Dear Talented Be. Members,

Due to the economic recession which we all feel, production constraints and the changes in television programming, as well as other industry development, we would like to let you know that The Big Talent Bee show will be altered and reintroduced as soon as possible so as to make it more marketable for television viewing. We are working towards production and restructuring of the show as a mid-season replacement within the reality structure of television. We know that you will continue practicing your acting monologues, dancing, and singing projects whole heartedly, and we encourage all of you to do so during these trying times. We will also facilitate the improvement of your trade by offering you regular weekend opportunities which will enhance your improvement at a substantial lower cost. Please continue to reach for your dreams as a dancer, singer, model and actor. These are only bumps in the road of life.

Be. families, we are also in talks regarding restructuring of the Be. website and provide webisodes. This new show format will showcase our multi-talented members on a much larger scale, providing our members with a new outlet for displaying their talents and skills. As many of you know the internet is now the new TV and with production cost at a staggering amount, we can successfully produce shows highlighting your talents. So make sure you hone your craft of perfection.

Again, this restructuring of The Big Talent Bee is designed to make it more appealing for the display of your multitude of talents. We hope that our improved structure will more than make up for your additional patience.

Thank you

Be.

Yep, so Be and My Talent Service are acting like Be. is still in business, yet Be is bankrupt, and at the Tarzana office, there is no one there. They closed up shop and left to who knows where. On the door, there is a lock box, and the parking lot is empty and locked up. Now, I hear they are going to Dallas, TX.

But enough with that-My personal story: I signed with be in June '06, and when you first sign up, they promise you discounted services, and (the big one) a guaranteed spot on their Be. TV shows (once a year) So we sign, and we get one photoshoot, which is totally unprofessional with just a white background, and one photo reprinted. Then, we tried to contact my talent "director" and found out that she had left the company, and I had someone named Jo Anna Coleman, who is a piece of crap. She nevers answers the phone, never returns phone messages or emails, and we once even went to the SANTA ANA office to speak with her, and she lied through her teeth, saying that she was moving to the Tarzana office (we visited, just by coincidence, 3 days before they closed Santa ana, without notice, of course) and that she would hand my photo to the Casting Director, Nick, who would then cast me in one of their TV shows. Never happened. So now, Be is bankrupt and now called MY Talent Service, and I cannot get the guaranteed job since there is no Be Productions or Be Production Shows.

I also hear that Be. does not comply with Section 1701 in the California Labor Law (more info on the link below, there is a Channel 7 News exclusive on them)

So parents, beware, BE/Gonnabe/Gonnabeproductions/Gonnabe productions/My Talent Service/My Artist's Place/who knows what other name they have changed to is a scam!!! Look at how many rip off reports there on on ripoffreport.com!!!!

My Talent Service is simply a subset of Be/Gonnabe/My Artists Place and Urge Entertainment (owned by Erik De Sando) employees. Initially, they purportedly were set up to handle customer service after Be. abruptly closed down its offices. Now they are, allegedly the "service provider" for Be. MTS has no physical address, only a p.o. box. Their website (established ca. July 3rd) is "coming soon" and has no information. The workshops they claim to be offering have no instructional staff listed. They refuse to answer customer questions regarding their location; they claim to be a separate entity from Be. , but state they have access to Be. customer records (i.e. your child's information). In short: Be.ware.
