I spoke to him by phone then went to see a puppy I had chosen from internet pictures, but he did not bring the one I picked out. He continually tried to say that was the only girl he had, but the internet sight clearly said he had two.

Made promises the parents were registered and he would send pictures, but did not provide either when I picked the puppy up. The father had a pending status when I later read the contract. He would not indicate what kennel club, which I later found out was Continental Kennel Club. This organization basically takes anything resembling a certain breed, and is not acceptable for a breeding Shih Tzu.

I have a Shih Tzu who was congested terribly when I picked her up and he said he vaccinated her agains Provo, which I took to mean Parvo. He gets very defensive if you ask too many questions, and fails to meet minimum standards of even the most inexperienced breeder. He kept changing the story about how much her parents weighed. Now, my puppy has a pig tail, and little eyes, but I am a dog lover, and could never part with her.

Beware of any dealing with this outfit. You will be truly disappointed. I had to solicit the Department of Consumer Affairs to even get the Puppy Registration Application, and it is absolutely worthless.

Hi Kate, this is such an old post but there is a lady named Gretta Griffin that ran Beach Bum Pups— is this the same one?? She is now breeding cats and is just as sh**ty. I’m so sorry you had to go through that.

I have several references you can contact to speak with about my professionalism, services offered and about the puppies they have been purchased from me. Also, testimonials can be found on my web page also. They only question that I have is.... If a consumer does there research on a breed or kennel, then finds a puppy to purchase, do they have to pay for a puppy or purchase this puppy if they are NOT completely satisfied at the time of the sale? They answer in my book is NO. You have to be COMPLETELY SATISFIED to select then to pay for the puppy. To reply to Katie... Katie never spoke with me on the phone about a puppy she emailed me from 3 different accounts trying to get different prices on the puppy. She then came to my HOUSE to decide between the male and the female puppy that I had left. If she didn't think that was the correct puppy (she picked out) why did she continue to deal with me (leave a deposit (to hold puppy) while at my house with puppy in hand), to purchase the puppy at a later date (due to her having to go out of town) or pay for something she didn't want nor thought was correct. She wouldn't ! Parents are registered (provided on her Puppy Agreement), provided papers for her puppy, never asked for pictures of the parents until 2 day's after purchasing puppy. Once again why would you pay for something if I couldn't produce the information that you are requesting from me. My web site clearly states which Kennel Club or if you inquire I reply with an email to which Kennel Club puppies are registered too. Continental Kennel Club is a very reputable Kennel Club. Why would you as a consumer pay remaining monies owed, leave / pick up a puppy and not say nothing about when you think the puppy was sick. Two day's after Katie picked up the puppy she began to stated puppy was sick, I asked had she taken to Vet, she never replied, I asked to see Vet records to be able to determine if puppy was sick, she never produced any records nor replied. I give two different Health Guarantees with all puppies. A 72 hour warranty on all puppies for you to be able to take puppy to you vet to ensure you have a health puppy. Agreement states "The buyer has seventy-two hours after the date of purchase to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian. If the veterinarian finds anything that is life threatening wrong, the puppy will be exchanged for another puppy of the same breed, when available provided, the puppy is returned with the 72 hour guarantee period". Also, agreement states "at the time of sale the puppy has had temporary inoculations against the illness as show below and gives records of inoculations given". I did ask Katie (on the phone 2 day's after she had purchased the puppy, then again in email later) what would she like for me to do to make this right for her since she couldn't reply to any of my questions regarding the health of the puppy, since she wasn't happy with my services, nor my puppy.... Again no reply for her. As stated at the beginning..... I have several references anyone can contact to speak with about my professionalism, services offered and about the puppies they have purchased from me. Testimonials can be found on my web page also. She did contact Consumer Affairs... All I had to do is show them the FACTS on the above and my Post Office receipt where her papers where sent and signed for. Last, You as the consumer don't have to pay for something if you are not COMPLETELY SATISFIED nor, do you leave a deposit for a puppy you didn't select, continue to work with a business you are not happy with and last you don't have to pick up and pay for something you don't agree with.
