Although the photo you provided of the box is a bit blurry, I can see where it shows a check-mark indicating the Surf N300 that you purchased has "Simple and Secure Guest Access." However, when I went to the Belkin site, the products and features listed on their page are totally different from what I see on the box (see screenshot provided). This is strange to say the least.
Did you purchase this directly from Belkin? Or at least from a reputable dealer? The discrepancy between what is displayed on your box and what is actually offered by Belkin makes me wonder if you may have unknowingly purchased a fake.
I can see why you are frustrated. Have you tried sending that photo to Belkin via email? You might want to try to get a clearer shot. If Belkin sold you that product with that box, then something is fishy. If you bought it from eBay or some other private seller, you should dispute the sale because it clearly is NOT the actual N300 that is offered by Belkin. Either way, I would imagine that Belkin would want to know that their product is either: (A) misprinted on the packaging; or (B) being misrepresented by a fake product using their name.
Good luck!

I have a Belkin N600. Works great. Easy to set up and have no problems with it. I went to the website to pull up a comparison and I see nothing about N300 having the ability to set up a guest account as well as an admin account. My N600 does. I turned off the feature since I am the only one using it.
Where did you buy the router from?? Why can't you just take it back there?
