Misleading wording and charges to credit card hidden in terms and not readily viewable. Bella Serata uses pressure tactics to get you to purchase their "trial" product which turns out to be an agreement to a monthly charge and shipment. The pressure tactics used are "Only XXX trials available now" "Hurry, claim your trial today" and "Limit one trial per customer Dont get left behind" "Bella Serata Cream Supplies are limited. Get it today!" These give a false sense of urgency which is an old and low-class tactic of sales.
The monthly agreement is nowhere to be seen on the first page and is only found at the final page where you pay and agree to their "terms and conditions". These are intentionally hidden there because most people think of these agreements as standard, non-deceitful and would not agree to such terms if they were clearly displayed like the advertising. This falls under the "Reasonable Person" standard that the law uses. Proof of this is multiple sites that have people rightly complaining that they have been duped. If the Bella Serata product is so good, then why do they need to use dirty tactics to get people to purchase their product? Although it may be legal, it is a socially immoral business practice.
Those of us filing complaints to the BBB want our money of course, but most of all, we want justice. There is no place for such deceitful business practices. Ms. Jane Bloom, the listed prinicipal, brings shame to all women owned and run businesses and she is no better than a charlatan. If you catch on to the company scheme of monthly credit card charges, they will refund your money but with an $18 restock fee for unopened product. This is what I want, I want the charges to stop and my money refunded. I have not received any product and I am reporting this as soon as saw the charges hit my account.
In the meantime, I am going to contact a law firm about a class-action lawsuit. Additionally, I am going to contact the Federal Trade Commission.
UPDATE: when on the webpage http://trybellaseratacream.us/?s= when you click on the "Order Now" button, it takes you to this web page https://www.hydralie.com/o/702d/?AFID=71&SID=447&click_id=5113505&OPT=1453858 which is another deceit because it is a different product. If you fill out your information and click "Rush My Trial" button, look all the way at the bottom in size 6 font and light grey, you find this statement "When you order your 30-day supply of Hydralíe Ageless Moisturizer, you pay just $4.95 for shipping. Orders shipped to the US will have 20 days (14-day evaluation period and 6 days transit) and 24 days for CA (14-day evaluation period and 10 days transit) from the order date to try the product and discover why it is the best wrinkle reducer for you. Thanks for trying to be helpful to others people need to know when you feel that there's a potential ripoff going on There's probably a hundred thousand complaints on Ripoff Report regarding skin care and beauty products and so many of them are nothing but scammers trying to pump money out of women Across the Nation.
