I know of at least three accounts he has used, all with similar patterns and titles. In my opinion he is a serious threat to eBay and customers who wish to purchase items ethically and with fair agreement, who receive very few answers.
All three seller accounts have similar patterns.
I received this in a message off eBay from the seller on an account:
You placed a malicious bid on my account and left negative feedback without paying. Leaving negative feedback as a campaign to harass is against eBay policy and is a suspendable offense. If the negative feedback is not removed within 24 hours, I will have no choice but to contact eBay about this matter. In addition to contacting eBay, I will also post a scathing public report of my own against you on websites such as ripoffreport.com, (((Redacted))), and several other websites so that whenever people google your name, address, close relatives names, school, place of employment, or any other information I find through intelius.com or through various other background checks or searches, they will see an extremely scathing report about you which will anger and embrarass you and will follow you for the rest of your life
(these websites have strict policies against ever removing any content. Whether true or false). In other words, what I write will never be removed no matter how many times you email and ask them to remove it. When attacked, I fight back. My punch will be much worse than your little negative feedback so take some time and think about this before you respond. You have no idea what I will write and you cannot control what will happen to your reputation once I post what I have to say. If the negative is removed within 24 hours then we have no problem. There are more professional ways to resolve problems then trying to damage people's names and reputations. I suggest you contact someone if you have a problem with them first and try to work the matter out. However, if you insist on playing games I am ready to play. Believe me, you don't want to be on my radar. By the way, nice picture.

Leave our child out of your crimes Mr. Ben Anderson and Meir Waknine. We do not need to be tied up in your criminal activity. Do not call our unlisted phone again or use it for another eBay account or we will take our own action against you. Got it? We know you are getting these messages so back off and leave us alone. We will be calling those people listed in the postings we have found about you. And we will be letting all our friends and neighbors know who you are also. Our phone ends in 6825. You know exactly who we are and we will not put up with any attacks like those we've read about from others on different boards. We've been told everything now and as parents we are more than horrified and apologize to those who were cheated. Unknown to us our phone was used to secure an Ebay account and we are only now learning about this. Needless to say we will be cooperating with the authorities. The McMillan Family

I'm amazed at the follow-thru and offer a major kudo's for your efforts in identifying this individual. It would be my hope that this thread continue to be updated with additional actions the USPS/Courts/US Attorneys' Office etc., undertake in regards to this person. Additionally, I think this one deserves the links to any case filings and the search warrant materials left in tact. This is a win for the consumer. Not only is this Ripoff Report handled exceptionally well and professional, it's also educational. Given the individual's extreme (cough *alleged*) fraud -- he deserves the public awareness for as long as there's electronic records. If/when he does get out of prison, let's just hope a condition of parole -- NO PC's or internet access for this guy. Ever. If in fact he's responsible for what the US Postal Inspector claims, $250,000+ divided by $11 bucks... almost 23,000 people. Hopefully it will also serve as a deterrent for any potential copycat researching his methods to defraud ebay'ers/John Q Public. Agian, way to go. --Taz

Updated information, April 8, 2008, relating to the results of the search warrant executed at Benjamin Anderson's residence at 315 Westbourne Street, La Jolla, CA 92037 and of his red Ford Mustang Saleen, CA tag no. 6BUV942. The following two documents are now public and no longer under seal. Since 'CEO Ben' and his 'executive director' Meir Waknine never seem to answer their 'live support' number at (714) 717-0587, maybe other arrangements could be made to communicate with them face-to-face. Some of the postings apparently made by or on behalf of Anderson, Waknine and 'AproposAuctions, LLC' on RipOffReport.com and other consumer protection websites since the execution of the search warrant have stated that much of what has been posted about the search warrant is just 'nonsense.' Read the two documents and judge for yourself. See the APPLICATION AND AFFIDAVIT FOR SEARCH WARRANT here: http://laurenstephens.net/uploads/2491c6bbd2.pdf See the results of the search warrant here: http://laurenstephens.net/uploads/db30ca2e5b.pdf (laurenstephens.net is a free hosting service and the free hosting of these public documents will expire in approximately 60 days. Please feel free to copy these documents and this information at your discretion. I'm sure Bennie wants to help all his ''customers' get their merchandise or refunds as soon as possible!) If you have some 'nonsense' that you think the federal and state authorities may be interested in learning, perhaps you may want to call Assistant U.S. Attorney ('AUSA') Mitch Dembin at (619) 557-5558 regarding Case No. 08MJ0672 about the Ben Anderson 'Apropos Auctions, LLC', etc., activities on Ebay. Do a Google search for AUSA Mitch Dembin and you'll see he's a very experienced computer crimes AUSA. You may also want to call Postal Inspector J. Liam Gimon at (619) 531-8245. Help both of these very accomplished gentlemen do their jobs.

Sorry for the mistake. The Internet Crime Complaint Center is at www.ic3.gov not .org. Please file a complaint there if you have been ripped off on Ebay by Benjamin Joseph Anderson or Meir Avraham Waknine. Anderson runs his "business" now out of a the Postal Annex store at 7514 Girard Ave., #1-515, La Jolla, CA 92037. Waknine opened that mail box on September 20. I am informed Waknine answers his phone, (818) 220-3373. The Postal Annex store operator is Amy Lee and she can be reached at (858) 456-3935. Waknine resides at 12714 Cumpston St., Valley Village, CA 91607.
