Bennathon Law Group Richard Williams recieved text message stating, this was my final notice before case and warrants were activated, i called the number, someone with an accent answer, l could barely hear what he was saying, there was a bad connection, they said there was a case against me from Cash Net. nationwide
Was contacted by text message from Richard Williams. message read( final notice before case and warrants are activated ) i called the number, a guy answered with an accent, there was a bad connection so i could barely hear what he was saying, i did hear him say that, there was a case against me from Cash Net, i asked him to call back due to the bad connection, he hung up but never called back. i tried using directory assistance to locate a phone number for Bennathon Law Group or Law Firm but was unsuccessful in my attempt, no listing found in the state of New York.

Based on your post, it sounds like a scam to me. The best thing to do is go to FTC(dot)gov and read up on PayDay Loan Collection scams. A real collection would not contact you by text first with the dire warning of "final notice before case and warrants are activated". That is a phrase that scammers would use. The fact that they texted you and did not provide a letter via snail mail is another red flag. Don't pay these people anything. Don't contact them. Read up on financial scams at the FTC website so you know what to look out for and stay away from these scams. They count on saying just enough to scare you into paying them something. Don't pay anything. If you do, they will contact you more because they see they have a "live one". Good luck. Ignore them.
