Middle-aged mom suspicious of Haldane's contact techniques
I'm trying to re-enter the work force as a middle-aged mom. I've work in journalism and education. Put my resume on Monster.com and set up a netscape, email account to keep my e-mail separate from my husbands.
Bernard Haldane, of Dayton, contacted me via e-mail, then by a telephone call. I was requested to come in for an interview with their vice-president, Mr. Stone, the next day. I said, yes, because I'm diligently searching for direction during my career search.
Nevertheless, was suspicious because Haldane knew little about me; why was a "vice-president" wanting to interview me? I'm not an engineer, nurse or computer whiz. I smelled a rat - an expensive rat.
Logged on to google.com, and after searching, found this site. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.
I won't be fixing my hair, or wearing my power suit to an interview tomorrow. Boo h*o - but thanks for saving me money I definitely wouldn't have spent anyway. And no way would my husband let me charge that amount!!! Even for a job in Hawaii - ummmm, well, maybe he would.
