Like so many others on this site, I too was duped by BHA. I went to them in July after being downsized out of a local company. I met with their "closer", who gave me a smooth pitch about how wonderful I was and how impressed his bosses were with me. I thought this was strange because they were impressed with someone they had never met.

I was told by the salesman that, "We have contacts", "We know people". Based on this I plunked down $3,850 to be able to get in front of their "contacts". I began meeting with their "counselor", who kept telling me "You're not ready to meet with employers yet". I explained my situation to him and indicated that I was ready RIGHT NOW to meet with employers and I needed to ASAP. After a couple of meetings like this, the counselor asked, "Have you been out to Monster.com yet?" When I heard this I knew there were no contacts and this was all a scam.

Before I got that stupid question, all we really discussed were my assignments, and did I know anybody I could call about a job!! I thought, well if I knew anybody I sure as hell wouldn't pay BHA $3,850 to do it for me!!!!

They filed the following to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion Rebuttal: I too agree that they are a scam. I had paid for their sevices almost 2 years ago and was told about them having "contacts" and that was what convinced me to fork over the money. I was then given a workbook to answer questions that they used to put together my resume. They also asked me who I could call about getting a job and what kind of a job I wanted and this was after I paid them and completed a survey that was suppose to help them to know where to begin on the job search. I stopped going to them after I got my resume and found a job much faster than they could! I do have to admit they did put together a great resume and gave me great interview tips but I could've done all of that much cheaper through a resume services and buying books!

Rebuttal:
Report them to the Tulsa Oklahoma Police Department and report Bernard Haldane and associates as a Bunco Scheme. The financial crimes division should help you: Detective Division (918) 596-9133.

Also, take the manager of the local office that took your $3,800 to small claims court immediately. Contact Beverly Hacker, to file your claim, she's the Department Head of the Tulsa County Courthouse. The courthouse is located at 500 S. Denver,
Tulsa, Oklahoma 74103 Phone: 596-5459. Your filing fee will be $74 and I would use a deputy sheriff to deliver the subpoena, so that will be an extra $20.

Make sure you ask to recover this as well. The limit in OK is $4,500 so you should be good to go.

Make sure to print off all of the other complaints about
Haldane from the Ripoff Report and take those with you to court. Your complaint will be that they lied to you to get your money. You want it all back since you got no service.

Lastly, send your story along with all other complaints about Haldane to the investigative reporters at KOTV News Channel 6. They have a segment for consumers called "In Your Corner"-- this is perfect for them. Here is how you can contact them: [email protected].

Good Luck
