Bernard Haldane paints a pretty picture with no results Englewood Colorado
I was relocating to the Denver Metro area after 15 years outstanding service in the US Navy. I was contacted by BHA within 2 weeks of getting to the area. I was told that they had seen my resume on a web site and wanted to set up an appointment.
I was left with the impression that I was going to a job interview. I purchased a new suit and prepared myself for a job interview but instead recieved a sales pitch. I was curious when asked to set up another appointment with my spouse and did so.
After that appointment and all the promises of getting my DREAM job and getting on the inside track I was told how headhunters would get a portion of what the company would pay to fill the position if they help me find a position and how they would not and that extra money would be in my pocket.
It has been over 7 months since I paid the large fee up front for their services and all I have to show is a large credit card bill that I did not have when I walked into their office. The resumes (brochures) that I was helped with has not yeilded a single interview, but has brought about the comments about me needing to aquire the services of a professional resume writer. I thought the $6000 price tag included this service.
I have has 3 interviews since which was only because I went to the company HR office and filled out an application or 1 of which I talked to the individual at a job fair. The reasons I did not get the position was my lack of civilian credentials which when asked by BHA was one of my major concerns. I was told not to worry because it was not going to be a deciding factor as much as selling myself.
I could have used the money that I paid Haldane, went to ITT Tech to get the Information Technology certifications that I needed and would probably be working by now due to their unsurpassed record of job placement for their graduates.
Thanks Haldane, for nothing.
