My dispute arises from the fraudulent statements made verbally and in writing. I am not disgruntled due to not finding a job and do feel very fortunate to have had opportunities presented to me.

My complaint is that BH does not do what they say they are obligated to do. I have copied a section from BH literature that sums up what services they publish are provided

At Bernard Haldane Associates, we work for the client and with the client. We handle all aspects of your search. Together we will plan your search, create an outstanding resume, and compose letters that get results. We can provide researched contacts and show you how to generate interviews with decision makers. We will help you identify job opportunities. In other words, we work with you from start to finish in a structure disciplined and guaranteed successful marketing campaign.

Now that I have stated what I understood they would provide, let me list the services not provided.

1. I received a manual (Comprehensive Career Management Program) that was to be the bible of the process. The CCMP contains 10 sections. I have only been provided documentation through section 5. I signed up for the program March 1, 2001. I have repeatedly asked for the missing information, but that information has not been provided to date. I tried calling the corporate office and spoke with Larry Keim, National Director of Client Services on July 20, 2001 to determine why I had not been provided with the entire program. Larry stated that this seemed odd but would not discuss the discrepancy until he had been able to obtain my file and that he would contact me within a couple of days to discuss. Larry never returned my call. I never received the remaining program components.

2. When it was time to develop a Campaign Marketing Plan, my advisor gave me a sheet of paper with different groups of individuals listed with empty boxes representing weeks next to each group. He wrote a couple of numbers in for week one and said I needed to contact X number of individuals representing each group. That was it, we never addressed my Campaign Marketing Plan again. To this day I am not sure what a Campaign Marketing Plan should contain even after asking my advisor more than once and Larry Keim on July 20, 2001. I want to give Larry the benefit of the doubt; maybe Larry has still not received my file.

3. Each time I pressed my advisor as to what next, he always said, well when can you come in to do the video. He responded exactly the same on three occasions and on each occasion I reminded him that we had already done the video. So, the third time he put it in writing, lets do the video, I responded in writing, we already did the video. The advisor has responded to many issues in a way that he clearly has never read my file nor is able to keep up with what we have completed.

4. I reviewed my contract signed in March. To my understanding I have progressed through step three of seven services in phase one, there are three phases. I have repeatedly asked to continue the remaining steps, but still have not been provided direction. I would like the rest of the services for which I paid.

5. It is stated in the literature Bernard Haldane has made arrangements to furnish your Profile Broadcast to over 500,000 employers and employment professionals located throughout the United States. This is stated on a contract that I found reviewing my information that was provided to me by my advisor. He never told me this was available and should have been provided. To date, this has not been done to my knowledge.

6. I provided a list of SIC codes 3/15/2001 from which Bernard Haldane was to develop a potential contact list. This SIC report was run on 4/5/2001 as noted by the research department date on the report. The list was never provided to me. I asked for the list several times, finally, the advisor leaned over and pulled the information out of his file cabinet on 7/03/2001. Then, he did not discuss what I was to do with the list.

7. Of the more blatant lies, the VP told me BH had a network of contacts, she fired off a couple of names she could contact in my area of interest that would have no problem talking with me. After paying my fee, the Haldane network was actually my existing network. Had I known this, I would not have signed up and paid for the program.

8. There were so many false statements made during the interview process that I do not have time to state them all. Many are already covered in other reports, so I will only say that I agree with all the reports I have read. After reading the other reports, it appears to be a common pattern of deception used at Bernard Haldane.

In conclusion, I have contacted my advisor, d**k Acuff, on several occasions to try and get direction, but have not been provided with the additonal information. He states that we will proceed, but then does not contact me nor has he provided the additional information. To this point, Bernard Haldane has not met the guarantee stated above.
