BERNARD HALDANE & ASSOCIATES misleading job interview inquired on my finances wouldn't quote fee .....
If it were not for this site I would have been ripped off. I went to the interview today knowing they were a placement agency. It was an upscale office. Apparently they just finished moving into this building now located at 700 W. Georgia St, Suite 2910.
I met the senior consultant named Joe Lopushinsky. He asked me about my goals and ambitions, what my personality was like. Then he brought up a fee and began to inquire on my finances and what my debt load was like. He was telling me that he'd never had anyone in his office before that was my age.
Also told me a story about a guy in Tokyo who used to make 18,000/yr and now his income has jumped to a staggering 35,000 and lives rent free because the job he has pays for his expenses. Joe even asked if my mother would be helping me pay it. He had me book a 2nd interview and told me to bring my girlfriend because she would know better what my personality was like.
When I told her about what happened it set off bells for her. One internet search and she found this site. Thank GOD! On this site I have seen lawsuits, rip offs, no refunds, presure sales,... all across Canada and the US.
I hope they get shut down and charges are laid against them because they are preying on innocent people trying to make a better future for themselves.
