Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I found a boat listed on Craigslist Buffalo, called and went to see the boat, all seemed ok despite needing to go to the B Cozy Inn to see the boat. A couple days later we made the deal, I handed the money and he began the dealer paper work and handed it to me stating to take it to the DMV that I wouldn't have any issues. BTW, all taxes were collected at that time.

I went to the DMV, and after looking at the paper work told me that it was all wrong. The dealer (Bill) was supposed to have the trailer inspected at the time of sale, as well as needing other paper work for the boat; they were written up as separate sales transactions. I called Bill, who told me I would need to get the trailer inspected and drive the documents out to him, and then he would take care of the boat. We argued about that some, as I stated this shouldn't be on me, the customer, he got mad, said it was just the way it was and said good bye and hung up. I called inspection locations, they said they couldn't do it this way, or preferred not to becasue it wasn't proper. I called Bill back, he said I needed to take the paperwork to him and leave a copy of my drivers license so he could take care of this at DMV.

I dropped off the paperwork, which btw, was a 20 mile drive everyt time I went out there for something he screwed up. So the following day I called to inquire, he said the trailer was all set, but that he needed to get the bill of sale for the boat from the auction house he bout it from. I called a day or 2 later he said the paperwork was all set and I could pick it up.

Upon arrival, he had stated that the charges were going to be $171.00, when he handed me the registrations I asked how he came to the total of $171.00. He told me it was the fee for registering the trailer and boat; which he only had to do becasue of his screw up. I told him I wasn't going to pay that fee and he attempted to take the license plate from under my are, to which I responded that he wasn't getting anythiing back. He then yelled at me that I was lucky he didn't charge me twice for going to the DMV, again, becasue of his screw up.

This person lied to me throughout the transaction, told me dates that the final paperwork did not substantiate, and did wehatever he could to make the sale. He even made up a story about how he bought the boat to save him needing to rent a b oat for a vacation, and said he bought it for $2000 at auction; his sale receipt showed he bought it for $1000, and that is not the only story I was told. He is a lier and a thief and should be dealt with harshly in my opinion. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS INDIVIDUAL!
