Best Built Engines Charlotte, Gastonia, Rock Hill N. Carolina is the Worst built Engines - Rip-off
Owner of business (Bob Simpson) doesnt use correct parts when re-building the engines. Mr. Simpson doesnt honor his warranty either,he hung up the phone on me when I explained to him that after 2 months of not being able to drive the car (due to the fact that another shop had to try to fix the engine) I wanted to get the money back-and let him have his Best Built Engine (HA HA HA!)back!!!
Mr. Simpson used incorrect parts in rebuilding this engine, therefore causing major problems. Since he only rebuilds and sells the engines, I have had to have other people put it in and take it out, and put it back in. It had been put in by a shop that has since gone out of business.
Mr. Simpson repeatedly tries to place the blame on them, yet acknowledges the fact that he used a wrong cam-set in rebuilding this engine. This caused a bolt to come loose, therefore tearing up the cam, timing chain, and other parts. We now have a very REPUTABLE car repair shop in the area trying to fix this engine-yet they keep having to call up Best Built because they continually find fault with his work.
I have since told them to go ahead and pull that engine out-and order me one from Jasper. This case very well may end up in court. Not only has this happened to me-it also happened to my brother with his truck. Had I known that he had ever dealt with Best Built Engines, I certainly would have run like the wind in the other direction. My brother has a Ford pick-up truck, and had his mechanic install a Best Built Engine in it.
Sure enough, a wrong part was used, thus in the end tearing up his transmission!!!. Now, tell me, what are the odds that with 2 different engines (Ford truck and Pontiac Bonneville), and 2 different mechanics in 2 different cities (me-Charlotte, Brother-Gastonia) from the SAME ENGINE REBUILDER would go wrong-with similar problems???? Meanwhile, Mr. Simpson still denies any responsibility in these 2 cases!!!!
