On 11/09/02 I purchased at Best Buy a monitor, a HP computer & a HP office jet G85. I was told at the time from a very eager salesman that with these specific items I am eligible to receive a $200.00 rebate.

There was of course a catch. I needed to sign up to MSN 8 internet service, and I will receive my first 6 months of service for free. I gleefully accepted.

After I complied with all the terms that were needed to receive my rebate, I mailed off for it by the postmarked due date. I received my letter of denial from the Best Buy rebate center shortly thereafter.

To make a long story short, I was now being told that I needed to have signed up for Comcast Cable. So why was I given a rebate form to begin with? I now know it was to cover their backs.

I am a single mother who works full time to offer my child all that I can. Best Buy & their deceitful ploys to get sales should never happen to anyone again!

If anyone can help me to retrieve my rebate, please let me know how.
