Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I purchased a Dynex 24" TV from Best Buy, when I got the TV home there was a stress crack across the front of the television. There was no dent in the box or chipping on the actual television.

When I called the store and asked what I should do, I couldn't get through to a person. Upon calling the corporate number I was advised that returns or exchanges can not be made on something that could not be resold. I asked where is that in the policy and he couldn't help me. I asked if I bought something and it was smashed in the box what were my options, to which I got I'm sorry sir we can not help you.

I asked for a supervisor who got me through to a store manager, the manager asked me to bring the TV back in and stated that we would probably disagree on the outcome. I asked how so and he replied that if the box was dented they would have exchange it in store, I told him the box was not dented, he replied then I must have dropped the TV and no exchange would be made. Not following the logic, I said so if the box was dented you wouldn't have sold it to me (which he interjected if it was now, then I must have dropped it and dented the box), and I said so anyway I look at it I must have dropped it and he said yes. He even told me to contact Dynex for replacement.

Now I know that you don't call Dynex for a TV bought at Best Buy, but I did and they replied Best Buy should exchange it and they would credit Best Buy on a return, they couldn't help me.

Since then I've written the BBB and Corporate, to which their reply is sorry about your luck, we are not exchanging the TV.

I've been buying things from Best Buy for years and feel fortunate that this was one of the lower priced items. If not for the attitude and negativity I might not be as agressive, but I feel that others should know buyer beware, I'd hate to have someone buy a plasma tv, only to find a scratch across the screen and be told the same.

I understand Best Buy is a business and that I could have dropped the TV, but I called 5 minutes after I left the store, corporate didn't even have my purchase to review. I live that close to Best Buy. When did it become screw the customer first.
