Three weeks ago I ordered a stacked GE gas washer/dryer online from Best Buy.  When it arrived, it was damaged so it was not installed.  I called customer service and after speaking on the phone with an agent for awhile, we decided to a return exchange for the same item.  She also said she was going to credit $200 on the purchase.   I insisted on the gas installation fee being waived (i never took advantage of this service though due to Best Buy's incompetence in scheduling the installation).

 
Fast forward one week and I realized that the agent did not do a return/exchange for the same item, she chose a different item (Whirlpool stackable unit).  Thankfully my tenant missed the delivery.  
 
At this point, I went into a Best Buy store and purchased an LG washer, dryer and stack kit.  It was delivered on Wednesday of this week and the gas installation was occurred.   But then they realized that the washer was broken (missing a part).  They disconnect the gas and take away the washer.    Best Buy, however, in their system,  marked the gas installation as complete though.  Therefore, although tomorrow (fingers crossed) a functional washer is to arrive but they cannot install it because the gas was disconnected from the dryer, I now have to pay a plumber an overtime rate of $750 to do the gas installation.
 
The worst part is that Best Buy kept no record of the at least 10 hours of time I spent over 3 weeks on the phone with representatives and the most they could compensate me for is a $100 gift card.
