BestSellerBooksDirect.com Company refuses to acknowledge receipt of our order cancelation and has sent us threatening emails about failure to pay and possible collection. Mount Vernon Iowa
We investigated a textbook on eBay and my daughter claims she did not order the book. Nevertheless, we received notification of the order and immediately made an attempt to contact the seller. There was an online form that allowed for cancelation which we completed.
We received an email acknowledging this email (cancelation), but since then have received three threatening emails about our refusal to pay. In response to each email, we have sent 3 separate emails and made two long distance calls to answering machines. Messages were not returned.
Calls to directory assistance indicate no phone numbers (800 or local) for any company operating in or around Mount Vernon, Iowa which is the address listed on the website.
The company states it will not send the book until paid for and we have no intention of paying for something we don't want. Any reputable company would simply acknowledge this cancelaton. Instead, this company sends threats of collection.
