We know what your company is all about, your business model is simple and is also illegal. You are advertising a fake employment service for the purpose of obtaining detailed information about individuals which you then resell to other companies as well as other criminals like yourself. You are involved in interstate fraud and therefore should be investigated by the FBI.

Disreputable companies use the names of trusted companies

Hi Karen,

We at Beyond.com saw your report and were concerned that you had a bad experience.   We have investigated your complaint and found that there is no connection between us and the behavior you described.

In particular, we do not own iHire.com, Applicant Tree, or Gigats.  We do not provide resumes or other job seeker information to iHire.com, Applicant Tree, and Gigats, nor do we authorize calls to job seekers.  We do not sell resumes to college recruiters.  Only if one of our members expresses interest in learning about educational opportunities do we authorize our affiliates to contact an interested member.  It is unfortunate that some disreputable companies use the names of trusted companies, such as ours, and mimic our forms to seek to give legitimacy to their postings and offers.

Rest assured that we monitor our job postings, and are always eager to know of any that our users find misleading so that we can remove them.  Of course, it is impossible to investigate each of the more than 1 million jobs posted on any given day.  Please note that if you are registered on our site, you have the opportunity to manage your account settings, including modifying your portfolio and your visibility to employers.   You may also delete your resume and profile at any time.   As our members find our job postings and career information relevant, we are proud of our success in helping job seekers achieve their goals.

We know that conducting a job search can be challenging.  Please get in touch with us directly at: 866-694-5627 or [email protected] and we’d be happy to go over any issues you had.  We hope that you’ll contact us soon so that we can introduce you to the many things that the Beyond.com Career Network has to offer.

Thanks.

Beyond.com is a Scam

I never paid to use ihire's premium services. I didn't know they were owned by Beyond.com. It may be a recent acquisition if so, because Beyond.com now owns about 50 or more job sites and job boards.

Beyond.com is definitely a scam. When I added my profile on Beyond.com, they didn't charge but I found I couldn't remove my profile after discovering it was a scam.

If you click on a job link and see an Applicant Tree or Gigats form, the site belongs to Beyond.com. If you complete and submit the application, it doesn't go to an employer. The information contained in the application and your resume is sold to college recruiters and other businesses who send spam to your inbox and call your telephone incessantly.

If you see a job you're interested in on a job board, it's best to go directly to the hiring company's website to apply. Sometimes the job you saw posted on a job board isn't legit, so it just wastes your time and interferes with your job search. Also, be sure to delete the cookies in your Internet browser after visiting a questionable site.
