To whom it may concern,

The following gives a full account of the dealings with Ms. Bianca Suwanasung of www.preciousmaltipoos.com in San Antonio, Texas. I'm writing to express my disappointment in the transaction and convey my deepest concern for the health and safety of the remaining animals in Ms. Suwanasung's care. After hours of research, I've come to the conclusion that Ms. Suwanasung is not acting in the best interest of the animals she sells and their health is severely in jeopardy.

Transaction summary & events following:

Through internet research, and as a surprise gift to my daughter and I, my husband found Ms. Bianca Suwanasung's information via www.nextdaypets.com Seeing a picture of a Maltipoo, and after communicating with Bianca over the phone, my husband paid for the dog via our credit card on 12/13/08. The cost for the dog was $799. Bianca then agreed to meet my husband in New Braunfels, TX on 12/24/08 with the puppy. (We live in Austin and they agreed upon New Braunfels as a meeting place).

On 12/24/08, the day we received our puppy, we noticed blood in her diarrhea-consistency stool. The bloody diarrhea continued approximately ever 30-minutes. For fear that something was seriously wrong, we took her (on 12/25/08) to the Animal Emergency Clinic of Central Texas in Round Rock, TX. After numerous tests, it was determined that our new puppy had a intestinal parasite called Giardia*. At the vet's recommendation, we started her on medication right away.

On the night of 12/29/08, our puppy began coughing persistency and having difficulty breathing. I took her to the Hometown Vet Care Clinic in town on the morning of 12/30/08. It was then determined that our puppy had kennel cough, which is especially serious in small puppies. At the vet's recommendation, we immediately started her on medication. Our puppy was now on three medications, as she was still dealing with the intestinal parasite.

On the evening of 1/2/09, our dog began having very serious problems breathing. Fearing that she would not survive without rapid treatment, we immediately contacted the local emergency clinic. On the morning of 1/3/09, it was determined that our dog had developed pneumonia, which was a result of the kennel cough and her weak immune system.

On 12/26/08, I contacted Bianca to let her know about the issues we were having. She responded saying that the stress of a new environment can bring on such illnesses.

We have now had three veterinarians evaluate our puppy's condition and all three agreed that the puppy was harboring these illnesses before she came into our possession. We feel it is only right that Ms. Suwanasung reimburse us at least $500 in veterinarian bills.

On 1/5/09, and again on 1/6/09, we contacted Bianca via her cell phone to explain our puppy's full condition. She has not agreed to a refund.

More important than the refunded vet bills, is the fact that Ms. Suwanasung is still breeding animals that may be in the same condition. We've found numerous accounts via internet search that lead us to believe this situation has happened on a number of occasions with Ms. Suwanasung. Our sincere hope is that Ms. Suwanasung with stop breeding animals that she can not properly care for. We believe her establishment to be a puppy mill and not a healthy environment for animals.

I got a healthy happy puppy from Bianca!

Wed, September 09, 2009

I just have such a hard time believing this because I had a totally wonderful experience when I bought a puppy from Bianca, last Sept/Oct '08, through one of her sites, yourtinypuppy.com, but honestly, pretty much every single aspect of my experience was easy and smooth and honest and wonderful.

Before buying a puppy through her, I had JUST been cheated by a different maltipoo breeder in San Antonio, ugh, a breeder with the name 'adorable' in it (don't want to say the exact name), which was one of the the worst experiences I've ever had and I lost money and time and had such heartache over it, it still hurts to think about it a year later....so when I found Bianca and my puppy I am still so totally in love with,..it was such a salvation to me. My puppy just turned 1 yr old...and besides needing to be treated for kennel cough a cpl days after she was flown in..she has basically been in good health and wonderful temperment...She is funny and silly and smart and sassy and so beautiful every single place I go people come up to me to ooh and ahh over her, I'm told almost daily she's the cutest puppy people have ever seen and many times I have been asked if I would sell her, lol. She lights up every day for me and is the cutest most perfect puppy I have ever seen or been around and as an animal lover, I have had several dogs in my life.

It is so terrible even thinking other people may have had not as good or bad experiences with Bianca. She was nothing but respectful and decent to me, and answered every one of my emails within a day, even after I had my puppy and was just emailing with a question or an update....If she was still in business I honestly would seriously consider getting my next puppy from her also, because of my positive experience. I felt I had to post what I have gone through with her and her puppies. I hope everything works out for the best for everyone involved.

Mistreated Puppy Breeders Too?

Right about the time when these stories were hitting, there was a maltipoo dumped in a parking lot off of Loop 1604 here in San Antonio ... she was still lactating from recently giving birth and was badly matted and had other health issues and the vet opined that she had been a puppy mill breeder that had been dumped. I've since adopted her and she's doing well. But putting two-and-two together based on timing and location, it seems likely she came from this same operation.

Bianca and Sam Suwanasung are now running the website www.adorablepuppies.hometead.com. The San Antonio Express News featured an article on the front page Saturday, June 27, 2009. Do not purchase any puppies from this broker. She has comitted check fraud, internet fraud, sold 16 puppies that died of contageous diseases and sold puppies that were a completely different breed than what she was claiming. Bianca and Sam Suwanasung are monsters and should be put in jail. Please do not purchase puppies from these brokers.

It has come to my attention through victims of Bianca and Sam Suwanasung that it is extremely possible they are selling puppies under a different website (as they have done numerous times) and using different phone numbers. These individuals were shut down by San Antonio Animal Control Police for illegally running a business out of their home (selling puppies) and sick ones at that. They also continue to be under investigation for many other acts resulting from this shut down. The puppies that are on the website www.adorablepuppies.homestead.com are identical to some of the puppy pictures she had on numerous other websites in the past, as far back as December 2008. Some of these puppies, say the victims are the pictures of the puppies they purchased that are now deceased. I encourage anyone who has an interest in purchasing from this "new" website to investigate the breeder thoroughly! Ask the appropriate questions, names, address and verify that this information is true before you purchase any puppies from these people. When asked if this breeder or broker as it may be was able to provide the parents of the puppies, they said no. If a person cannot provide the parents of the puppy you are purchasing, run the other way.

Do not buy any Maltipoos from anyone in San Antonio with a unreasonable adoption fee. A lady by the name of Bianca, who changes her name often, is selling dying puppies with Distemper, Kennel Cough, Parasites. Animal control was out at her house today and warned her to shut down her business. She is trying to dump these puppies off to anyone. They are coming back to her house in 2 days. If you have been affected by this lady already, please contact me. We are forming a class action lawsuit against her. She has broken the hearts of so many people. Getting attached to these puppies, trying to nurse they back to health. Unknowingly, their suffering in pain, from the breeder's hands, waiting to die. The new families getting these puppies have no idea what's a head. You might think you can save them, but they are very small. Their tiny bodies can't handle the stress. Our puppy also had a heart defect. PLEASE BEWARE!!!

Wanted to update everyone on our investigation of Bianca Suwanasung. Her legal name is Mary Colleen Bianca Suwanasung and we find out more everyday about her awful operation. She has numerous websites: www.marysmaltipoos.com and now www.prettymaltipoos.com and she changes them regularly. She has several aliases and has many people involved. The airlines have embargoed her, so now she has people shipping for her. So far we know about... Charlotte Seiler, 16650 Blanco Key San Antonio, TX 78247 210-355-7863 AND Michele Shire We also know that three San Antonio vets have said they will not use her because of her bad practices and sick puppies. After last night I was afraid Sadie wouldn't make it through the night. Nice way to spend Valentine's night! Today she is less shakey but still has bowel problems. My friend/neighbor is a vet and says this is normal for puppies exposed to distemper. It is a virus that will eventually end her life but she could have days that are better/worse. I have spent the morning researching and taking notes on all that everyone has posted. It has been very helpful, I will be contacting you this week. I sent an email to the Better Business Bureau of San Antonio TX with all of Ms Suwanasung's contact info and about the condition of our Sadie. I have been playing phone-tag with Animal Care Services but I will continue to call until I reach someone. RB & KC I know that the refund isn't going to cover the emotional costs, but I'm glad you were able to get at least that back. Can you tell me if you went through a lawyer or did you get her to send a cashiers check? Jsjazesf did you get a refund also or are you still dealing with Bianca? Also can you tell me which test you had done for the distemper, our vet is suggesting the urine test just to prove that's what she has but has said it is an expensive test. Thanks again for all the support.

Dear Sadie's mom, we are so sorry you too are going through this. This is absolutely horrific, we need to put an end to this. In the past several months, FIVE (5) puppies of Bianca's have died, that we know of. This means that the five people we know of purchased a puppy for $799.00 and incurred hundreds and in many cases thousands of dollars to help save and treat these poor puppies, , , that really had no chance to begin with. I can't imagine the horrific conditions in which these puppies came from to put them in such a sickly state. I have NEVER witnessed anything like this before. We are talking about puppies being shipped all over the country much younger than the stated age that Bianca gives, bloody diarrhea, cough, pneumonia, seizures. Sounds like distemper to me and I am no breeder and I am no vet. Bianca has lied to the public stating that she had no knowledge of any of her puppies being sick, she has ignored phone calls, she has sent people replacement puppies of their so-called choice, only to find out when the puppy arrives, it is far from which was requested and yet again, sending another sick puppy. I spoke with Bianca myself as have several other customers, Bianca knew she had sick puppies. In fact, in my case, whatever she sent from Texas almost took the life of my ten month old shipoo. This did not affect her in anyway, to her it was business as usual. Shame on this woman and her sister and whoever else she is in business with. We need help seeking justice for these poor animals and all of us who have been affected emotionally and financially by what this woman has caused. I can not believe that there would be any problem in shutting this woman down and getting whatever animals she, her sister and her mother have from San Antonio to Universal City and anywhere else, taken away from them. Sadie's mom, you can find me on neighborhoodlink, I am RB. my email address is there, and I/we all are sincerely sorry for your loss. rb

#18Consumer Comment

Sun, February 15, 2009

We are so sad right now that it's been hard to put this into words. I only have a short time tonight but I will add more soon. Sadie had another $254 worth of blood and liver tests done and her liver and blood are fine... she however is most definately dying. She shakes so badly she can hardly walk, three days ago she started with diarreha again and now vomiting. She can't be tested for Distemper because she was immunized less than three weeks ago but now it's pretty obvious thats what we're looking at. Now how to tell my 15 year old daughter that has spent $1,000 of her own very hard earned money on a dying but much loved puppy that there is no cure. My 12 year old son just looks at her and gets tears in his eyes. This is so painful!!! I'm not usually one to over-react but we have been through hell here. If she claims she doesn't know other puppies are ill she is lying. I called her and in great detail told her all of Sadies symptoms. I will be contacting animal control in San Antonio on Monday. I would love to call you all personally but the phone and email connections are removed as that is the policy of this site. I'm sooo sorry for all of you that are going through this too.

I have been to Bianca's home a year ago looking for a Maltipoo for an out of state friend. She did not allow me to come over immediately when I called but scheduled a time a day later then tried to push me off another day but I said no, I had already planned to come when we scheduled. I'm sure she ran herself ragged trying to clean up after all the dogs!!! After seeing the living conditions and so many dogs, I contacted my friend and said "do not buy a dog from these people". They were willing to ship a puppy at just 5 weeks old on an airplane, at a price of i believe $249 additional!! I inquired about the safety of shipping such a young puppy but she assured me the cabin pressure in the airplane was for live animals and would be perfectly fine. She had about 9 pens in her kitchen with about 3-4 small puppies in each pen. At least 2 of the puppies were sick with diareah and we were told not to touch them, when we did, she made us wash our hands. One had hair loss on it's head, she said it went to the vet but they couldn't figure it out. On her enclosed patio off of the kitchen she had 2 more pens that were filled with about 10 or more dogs, all different small types she was going to breed. The parents were not on the premises for the maltipoos, she claimed they were at her sister's home. The kitchen smelled very doggy as expected from so many in one confined area. In my opinion she is running a puppy mill. It is not possible one person can take proper care of all those puppies. The poor parents of the puppies must be exhausted with constant breeding which is why she would not produce the parents for us to see. I wish San Antonio would step in and put a stop to this inhumane breeding but no one seems to care. From what I have researched, you can apparently have 10+ puppies in a home if they are in a certain age range so I found myself unable to file any reports. We were told there were NO REFUNDS, this is a major red flag to potential buyers. To me this means the breeder does not care what happens to the well being of the dog. Her policies were definetly in her favor. I agree with the poster, do not purchase puppies from Bianca.

For those of you who have been waiting and following our blogs, This is a detailed account of our dealings with Bianca Suwansung/Preciousmaltipoos.com now known as PrettyMaltipoos.com AKA Yourtinypuppy/justyourpup not to mention a few other names that have been linked to Bianca Suwansung. Yes, RB and KC are related. We are sisters. On December 17th we purchased two "maltipoos from Bianca Suwansung/prettymaltipoos.com. Below is an email sent to Bianca detailing the events that have led us to hit the internet and search for help and answers. This is what we have been dealing with since we picked our puppies up at Boston Logan International Airport on December 20th 2008. This has been a heartbreaking experience that has left us exhausted, hurt and frustrated beyond words. Bianca, On December 17th, 2008 my sister and I purchased two maltipoos from one of your many websites. At the time we were only aware of Precious Maltipoos.com and that is where our business was done. We paid you $1,900.00 for two puppies that you stated were 8 weeks old. We had NO reason to believe you were anything other than what you said you were. A Breeder who bred Maltese and miniature poodles from your home. We were all so excited to receive our new puppies. However, this was short lived. The puppies arrived at Boston International airport on December 20th 2008 much younger than the stated age. They were quite weak with very foul smelling diarrhea. Within two days my ten-month-old puppy caught whatever you sent and became quite sick, we thought we may loose him. Concerned I called you on the 23rd of December and begged you to be honest with me, I didn't mind nursing the puppies back to health but I did not want to loose my ten-month-old due to something that came from Texas. You assured me you ran a clean operation. When I questioned you about a tick found in one of the puppy's ear, your response was one of your bigger dogs brought it in. When I told you that the puppies had hookworm, coccidia and c-diff, you stated you didn't know what c-diff was. I took the time and explained it to you and explained to you how they treat it. I found that to be quite odd, but I was more concerned at that time with getting the puppies better. You appeared concerned and thoughtful, but you never followed up to see how any of us were doing. We were very busy, basically we had NO Christmas. We spent several days hand syringe feeding and watering two puppies that were too young and too weak to eat or drink. We were also medicating two puppies continuously and praying they would survive. I have all the medical records for your reading enjoyment, should you want to review. One of the puppies ended up dying, as you are well aware. You again, appeared concerned for the loss and stated you would replace the puppy. You told my sister to pick the puppy of her choice and you would send that puppy to NH. She did. And you turn around and sell that puppy she chose and sent her another one, which, obviously, you couldn't sell. As all this occurred throughout the weeks, I start looking around out there and I find some pretty rotten things being said about you. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and hoped this was all untrue. But the facts remain the facts. 1. You sell sick puppies. 2. Your actions speak louder than your words. Although you sound quite concerned, you're not. After contacting you with such horrible news back in December, not one phone call made by you to check on your puppies or your customers. Very odd and VERY concerning. 3. You stated to me that you were a breeder. You stated that you and your sister have females and males, you breed, raise them in your home and sell them. I'm not sure what you really are and I do intend to find out, but, surely you are not a breeder. 4. You've changed your website name SEVERAL different times. 5. You claim that one customer has been upset with you, and this is where the bad things are being said. Fact is, there are several concerned customers out there. 6. You are being investigated by animal control. 7. Your vet (Kothmand Pet Hospital) will not see you, your sister or your puppies anymore. 8. You recently found a new vet, (Dr. Kyzan), he will not see you anymore either. 9. You sent my sister a puppy without being cleared by a vet. In fact, you sent a false record that belonged to a different puppy. Her puppy was never seen by a vet and yet, that puppy was flown to Boston. I believe that is quite illegal. 10. You again, sent my sister a sick puppy. Funny thing about this is, , , back in December when I made my original concerned call to you, you admitted there was an outbreak of coccida/parasites, , , ,why wouldn't of you had those puppies tested, firm stool or not before they dared left your home. Why? You could of contained this long ago. 11. Your sister has these puppies somewhere in Universal City. You keep only a couple in your home, no parents. 12. You sell puppies, I believe, illegally. I am a registered nurse. I can't take on patients telling them I am a doctor and treat them as such. This would be criminal. 13. Again I will mentioned, my sister picked out a puppy, you told her it was hers, You lied, you sold her puppy and sent her I am not sure what. And, you sent this puppy from San Antonio, to Houston, to Boston without a vet check. This is sickening that someone could do something so cruel to someone else. We, in good faith, got totally ripped off. Bianca, I spoke with you yesterday and I will say it again, this is all going to catch up with you. You can't do this to people who work hard for their money. You cannot keep abusing animals and lying like this, it is wrong. I want my money back. I want my sister's and my money back. You owe us that. If you don't send the money back, I am forwarding this letter to the Texas Animal Control officer that is less than pleased with your actions. You provided such a dishonest service to me and my sister it is vomit provoking, you want a good name then do the right thing and it will be known you did the right thing. You want this to go public then keep laughing at me. The choice is yours. RB Since this email was sent, Bianca stated she would refund my sister and my money. However, this does NOT change the damage she has done to us emotionally or financially, it does NOT change the harm she has caused these poor little puppies being taken and flown all over the place. This is a tragic situation that needs to NEVER happen again. I also believe that Bianca should be responsible for the thousands of dollars of vet bills that we have acquired since purchasing and trying to save her puppies. Numbers for verification are listed below and believe me, these people would love to hear from you, Please call: (((Redacted))) Thank you very much and please save yourself the heart/financial ache of purchasing a puppy from this woman. Our story is coming soon enough, we are very sad and angry right now. And we are NOT in this breeder war or have anything to do with it. We are families that wanted go give a puppy a good home and in our case 2 puppies. Very long story short my puppy died and we tried very hard to save her and we are not ready to tell our story yet. There has been a lot of emotions due to Bianca and what she and her husband has done to us and when the time is right the story will be told. But know this, this is a buyer beware situation, make no mistake! Kc

Dying to know how Sadie is, I really, really, hope the situation turns out not to be as bad as it sounds, and dying to know the upcoming story. Are KC and RB the same person or related somehow? Also, the reason for my opinions? In short, I don't want to be unfair to anyone, including those who are complained on. I attempt to provide other common reasons for common occurences/issues in the animal world, as those with knowledge and experience usually see things VERY differently than the average pet owner, until I KNOW they have done wrong. Also, the breeder wars, and the 'breeder blame game' is completely out of control in my opinion. A good 90% or so of the breeder/puppy seller type complaints on here are unreasonable, made up, or can't be ABSOLUTELY linked to wrong doing on the breeder/seller's side once the details are fully known. Hence, the name :-). *just my opinions*

Dear Sadie's mom, Thank you VERY much for sharing your story. We as well would like answers and facts as to what is going on with these puppies. As I said, I will share my story shortly, but we have a VERY simuliar situation here. I am very concerned for the health of my own puppy, future puppies, and the health of current puppies out there. For the health of my own puppy, I would like to know who Bianca really is. I thought I was purchasing a puppy for a "breeder." She herself told me she had one dog and her sister from Universal City had the other. I believed they bred their dogs and sold them as responsible breeders. Come to now find out, Bianca has had SEVERAL different website names, she has 5-8 new puppies weekly. There are posted concerns about the health of puppies that were purchased and I have one as well. I do not want to bring anyone down, but also, I do not enjoyed being ripped off or lied to. I called the vet that did the "so call" puppy check, he told me he is no longer seeing Bianca or her puppies for multiple reasons. That yes, I have reason to be concerned. If this isn't concerning, I am not sure what is. It is my understanding that Animal Patrol is now involved and investigating Bianca and her sister from Universal City. He said other things as well, which has left me to ongoing research, contact other concerned canine parents out there and figure out what is going on. I am sick over this, complete ill-hearted. I love my animals. This is unfair that someone would sell puppies as a so called breeder, charge good money for the puppy and only God knows where these puppies came from. If these alligations are untrue, then facts would prove this to be and we could all go on. However, more and more reasons pop up for greater concern. I would love this to be untrue, that is why I am trying to get facts from others. So, no opinions, please, just facts. I don't want my puppy to die in a year and I have NO recourse. This is not fair. And if all the above is untrue and people are just "making up" stories for a breeder war, this too is unfair. However, living what I've just gone through, I don't know, I would like this to be untrue, but it is not looking this way. concerned, me.

RB thank you!! And I wanted to update you all. Sadie's convulsions/seizures are getting worse, we have an appt to have the liver/bile blood testing done this Friday. She is giardia free. D.advocate, we do have detailed records of all her vet appts. and we have a copy from the vet to send to the breeder/seller. As far as the question about the fecal exam, I spoke to the vet that did the pre-flight exam and he said he did not do a fecal exam. He also said that that was the only time he ever saw the puppy, I believe her other de-worming and parvo meds were given by the breeder. D.advocate, you asked how far am I willing to go with this. I'm REALLY not the type to go after someone or try to 'bring them down'. I do really want to fix my puppy(my daughter's puppy) and help ensure that others are born healthy. Also, I'd really like to hear from anyone who's had a Maltipoo with seizures and how they were treated or if they were treatable and surgery costs. FINALLY I am happy to report that Ms Suwanasung answered her phone when I called today!! She was very polite and sounded very sorry for our troubles with Sadie. She said she has had other dogs with cocidia and even giardia but none with seizures or liver problems. She did offer to replace Sadie, but we want her cured not replaced. So, we will continue to do the best we can for her for as long as we can. If she passes then we will make the decision to replace her ... or not. RB I wish you and your pet the best, it sounds like you've had a difficult time too.

Details can do wonders. Well, doesn't her online contract say to notify her immediately? Wonder if it was lip service, or there's just something going on with her. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, and very telling, I think. It sounds like you are not only following your contract as you agreed, but your expectations don't appear to be unreasonable and within the contract as well, which is fabulous. As soon as Sadie's test results are in, get copies of the actual records, and see if your vet will write a quick letter to go with them. Sorry, I would probably leave the flea out, and the ear infection. Time frames and possibilities issue. This may even come up with the mange, but I think it should be in there (maybe also a suspicion that even though they are not known to have issues with ivomec commonly, this pup may have had issues with it because of the liver functions, and makes treatment more difficult or something?). And of course, EVERYTHING is going to be in the actual records. Let your vet know a little ahead of time that you are going to want to do this please. Now, even though her contract covers death (?), you will still be notifying her in detail, and immediately. Send the copies certified, and I think I read she has restaraunts? I would send a copy to her home, and a copy to her business, just to cover my bases here. I would also send a polite letter, telling her you just wanted to notify her that you have run into some issues and asking her if she can shed some light, and what her thoughts on the whole thing are, has this ever happened before, ect. And a copy of my contract, so there's no lengthy look up. I would do this even if we have to keep looking for the cause of poor Sadies problems, as a simple, I think you may want to know what is going on over here, thing. You will be covering some bases by doing this. And more questions ........ Does Sadie still have Giardia? Suspected liver problems could cause some issues with conventional treatments as well, maybe you could talk to your vet about some holistic treatments and how they may affect her. Holistic doesn't always mean safe, and can interact with things still, but it is always worth a discussion or two, as it can be an alternative. (BTW, I am also impressed and surprised that I haven't had to find some long roundabout way so far that says I think you should consult an additional vet, LOL). Do you have it in writing that a fecal exam was not done on 11/28/09, or any recent time before shipping? If not, I'd work on that too, having your vet call her vet may be the fastest way to accomplish this. Maybe they have a record on Sadie they can fax to your vet, and you can add it to your records? Or maybe he can just ask them to write a letter or something. My next question I guess would be, how far are you thinking you wanna go with this, and what would you like to see happen? I may see some outs here, at least one or two possibilities is just JUMPING out at me. And like I said, I am willing to help in any way I can. Things don't sound right, but there are always two sides to every story, and I wanna make sure anyone I help bring down deserves it (IMO). I have some thought's here, but it will have to be those people who have been legitimately burned (and have the proof of it) which participate and carry them out pretty much. Some things, I would rather not post, as they can be used to harrass those who don't deserve it as well as those who do. You can email me if you want to discuss some things. *just my opinions*

I believe Sadie's story to be quite accurate. We have two very simulair situations that we are very concerned about. . . I am quite concerned about these puppies and I would like to know, , , not from Devil's advocate, but, other clients, , ,first hand. This is bigger than just a matter of opinion, if they have more of these stories. Devil advocate, please refrain from voicing opinion here, we want facts. This is awful, to spend so much money on a puppy to begin with, bring it into your home, love it, treat it for illness,, , ,and so on and so forth. hundreds of dollars later, a death, , , ,no answers. I am very upset and very concerned. In time I will present my full story, but right now I am trying to find out the questions I've asked before, who is the woman? Why does she have so many puppies each week, why has she changed her website name several times, how many other people out there have sick puppies. Has she been investigated? This is terrible and extemely upsetting, espically when you hear another story that you are living. Please hellp.

Ok, Let me try again to explain what's going on with our puppy, Sadie. to start with here's the time-line: -Her name is Sadie, (sometimes pupper-doodle)she's an apricot & white Maltipoo -Sadie's birth date is 9/14/08 in San Antonio Texas -She was 1/2 Christmas present and 1/2 paid for by my 15yr old daughter for a total of $1044.00 she did a lot of research for a breeder who seemed legit. -She was health checked on 11/25/08 at Kothmann Pet Hospital, no fecal exam -She had been given a Parvovines(sp?) vaccine on 11/9 -She was given de-worm med. panacur 11/17, 11/18, 11/19 -Sadie was shipped on Continintal Air 11/29/08 -1st vet appt. in California 12/1/08 was given de-worm, and fecal exam. No immunizations as she was too ill and had bloody diarrhea $124.75 -Results from fecal exam 12/2 put Sadie on Albon & Panacur for Giardia & Coccidia $25.00 -12/9/08 follow uo visit, DHPP vaccine, Advantix (we found a flea on her) $101.75 -12/23/08 2nd fecal exam shows she still has Giardia, continued Albon -1/5/09 Exam for excessive itchyness, skin scraping tested positive for scabies, injection of Ivermectin and clavamox for sores. $153.00 -1/8/09 'clicking' of her mouth turned into seizure -1/12/09 exam and 2nd round of clavamox drops $62.00 Vet mentioned future testing for liver shunts -1/19/09 Exam, ear cleaning & medication, otomax for ear infection and revolution for scabies as Ivermectin may be too stong for her even though her breed isn't supposed to have side effects $113.75 1/26/09 exam, DHPP, and discussed liver shunt/ bile test in Feb. $61.75 Sadie has never been outside other than to carry her in our arms or in her kennel. Her only exposure to other dogs is our Golden in the house and he is always up to date on immunizations and is yearly tested/fecal exams for all parasites and was tested on 10/9/08. He's never had any health issues, not even fleas! We faxed the seller the results of her exam and the fecal test results. I also emailed her and attempted to reach her by phone but she has not responded. The health guarantee is for 1yr. if she dies and we pay for the autopsie and the clinic's official letterhead with the veterinarian's signiture states it was caused by a genetic or congenital disease and it's done within 24 hours of the death. Then, if these conditions are met she states they will replace the puppy. Her seizures are getting worse, she spasms so hard she can hardly sit up when shes sleepy. It's not so bad at other times. I don't expect money back for the vet bills... never did but as you can see it adds up. I also don't see us trying to get a replacement puppy, I think my daughter as well as the rest of us would be too sad to consider a replacement. What I would like is for her to respond and give me some info on her other puppies that may have had this liver or neurological issue and how it was treated.

Example - The devilsadvocate4education can be found in the area of yahoo. I'd like to know your story in full. You can go by email if you don't want to post. Contracts change constantly based on the situations breeder's run into that they never thought they would. Each situation is a learning one, and then the breeder takes steps to prevent a similar situation or misunderstanding. So, that is not uncommon, and not a sign of a bad breeder at all. I am also wondering if this person sells puppies others than ones she breeds herself? Did you happen to go to her house? Or was your puppy shipped? The changing of the sites could be nothing, or bad, but I didn't really find enough ACTUAL complaints, or enough serious ones that would mean she is changing things because of problems, particularly not when she purportedly sells so many. I think I would have found complaints all over for each name. If she did do you wrong, I will do everything I can to help you, in any way I can, if you'd like. But I have to have ALL the facts first, truthfully, and how long ago was this? As of now, the information coming in is very sketchy, and I can't really find anything that really backs it up. Then again, I would never sign a contract that only covered death in 30 days either ........ I'd really like to figure out what's going on here.

Looking up the sites given and the name

#48Consumer Comment

Thu, January 29, 2009

I can find almost nothing here. Did google and AOL, went through at least 5 pages when there were that many. When I DID find something, if it wasn't the original post here, most of it was speculation and conjecture from people who know nothing of this breeder. I think I only saw 2 or three which MAY be a serious issue, but with no details, there's no way to tell whether they are real, or whether it was the owner's 'fault'. And complaints with no details? There's usually alot that isn't being said. Some parasites, but not all, and not always the same ones. Out of the people who actually had puppies from this breeder, the majority were happy and healthy, and at least one made a point to mention that they followed their contract, and the breeder lived up to their obligations, and so they really couldn't complain. I DID see one report of someone who says they purchased a puppy whom had neurological problems and seizures, and passed away within a few weeks. One report of parvo, in which the breeder also lived up to their obligations I believe. There is absolutely no evidence that this breeder cranks out puppies which have health problems, and that she knowingly produces puppies with the likelyhood that they will have health problems. Since we are talking with living things, we can't really use whether or not there was a problem or two as a gage. Two dogs with every excellent health certification in the world that they can possibly get, can produce a puppy, or even a litter with problems. It doesn't in any way make that breeder a bad breeder. They probably feel just as bad, or worse even, that it happened. Maybe that time those two dogs genes just weren't a good mix. So a good breeder does not breed those two dogs together again. Those same two dogs can then produce spactacularly healthy puppies if bred with different mates. Sometimes, a puppy is just born with a defect that is not apparent right away. Again, it really should not reflect on the breeder, unless they are aware of and know that those two dogs actually, and consistantly produce actual and serious problems which are beyond normal for the breed, and absolutely should not be bred, and continue to breed and sell the puppies. Now, there are alot of things that can be caused by hereditary means, but it doesn't always mean that was the case, or that it IS actually hereditary, or that the breeder is constantly and knowingly producing pups that they KNOW are likely to have health problems. Think of human reproduction here. I want to know those things. I want to know whether they have a contract, and whether they uphold it when something does go wrong and the buyer upholds THEIR end of the contract. It is simply not possible to please ALL of the people ALL of the time. The higher the number dealt with, the higher the number of complaints. It does not mean all of them are valid. Doesn't mean they aren't either. Some things can seem scary, or a bigger problem than they actually are, when we aren't familiar with or knowledgable about them. We are only hearing one point of view sometimes, and that point of view can be skewed by the strong emotions involved when dealing with our pets. I am not saying it is the case here, I don't know enough yet, but we are crucifying our good breeders with the bad lately, and people are doing so without any knowledge or experience behind them. Seems like it's bad just to BE a breeder lately. Personally, I am not sure why anybody who is breeding for the right reasons would choose hybrids (mostly mutts, with fancy names and high price tags, though there are a few that I think could and should be developed into actual breeds over time, and some people are trying to revive extinct breeds or colors). Please understand we are not attacking you (I think, LOL), but are trying to find some truth here. Alot of times, complaints and reality differ hugely, and alot of complaints from animal purchasers in particular tend to come from a lack of knowledge and experience. As far as being investigated, she may be being investigated for no better reason than someone with a grudge picked up the phone, like maybe someone in competition with her, or maybe someone upset with her, or maybe a legitimate complaint, but it could be ANYTHING (or nothing more than someone picked up a phone, dialed, and said her name and location). And it seems to be almost impossible to be anything but a bad breeder in some way shape or form in the public's eye nowadays. I surf this site, and as the name says, tend to play devils advocate in the interest of educating people. Usually, parasites fly way under my radar, as they are common, not generally serious, and not really always an indicator of the breeder's practices , most can come from anywhere, because people don't always tell the whole story, and it's far easier to blame other people, and it's generally coming from people that have little actual experience beyond owning their own pets. If something makes me want to look into things further, I post what I find, coming from someone whom has done nothing BUT work with animals their whole life (in most avenues), has a good idea of what's reasonable and common, and does NOT have extremist views (IMO). Here are my questions, and I am going to refer once again to the contract the breeder has posted. Did you ask for and recieve the results of the fecal exam that the posted contract says they recieved before shipping? And did you have the puppy fecal tested again within the two days of arrival to confirm that parasites were or were not present as you agree to when you purchase a puppy from this person per the contract? Also, was this seller informed immediately? This is almost always a condition, and there are very good reasons why. Always, always, follow your contract to the letter, above and beyond, if you can. It is up to the buyer to make their case concrete. Not things that are easily refuted. If you don't or didn't uphold your obligations, is it right to expect the other person to? It is what it will almost always boil down to. And here's a biggy. Not on the contract, but a general advisement, which people JUST DON'T SEEM TO LISTEN TO. Did you travel home with your puppy? Did you at any time let that puppy out of a vehicle to go potty or stretch or something? Was your puppy on the ground anywhere but in your own private yard (and even that is not a guarantee)? Has your puppy ever been around any other dogs after you recieved your puppy? Did you ever take it to ANY public place? Even something you might not think of immediately, like when you went to pick up some puppy supplies? Did anyone outside of your immediate family which is living with her, touch her at all? These can all be dangers to a young puppy. You can tell people until your blue in the face, explain why not to do this, and they STILL call you from the Petplace right up the street twenty minutes later asking what do you think if I buy this? And the puppy is in there with them. And it's almost a guarantee that they will not connect it if the puppy comes down with something shortly after. Guess who usually gets the blame? I can't speak for K.C., but I REALLY appreciate your participation in this post, too often folks don't, and it leaves alot of open ended questions. Sometimes they are just to busy insisting blame, and not interested in learning, or helping others learn how to avoid the same problems or to learn for future reference. I'm off to look up the other websites for awhile. My fingers are still crossed that there's nothing seriously wrong with your girl, makes it a little hard to type.

When my lurcher was 11, she was diagnosed with a mild liver shunt and a mild heart murmer, which could be directly attributed to a medication which I had to give her. Because both were so mild, surgery was not required, and I had to just be very careful of what I gave her because of her liver. She was almost 16 when she passed away. She had another fabulous almost 5 years with her shunt and her murmer, and they barely affected her at all, except for the time she got bit by a spider. It might not be that way in your case, but there are sometimes other options. Just keep doing all the research you can and arm yourself with education and knowledge so you can make the best decisions for everyone :-). Please keep us posted. Speaking of research, is this a personal case for you KC, or is it just what you do? If it's just what you do, two heads can sometimes come up with better information than one, and the devilsadvocate4education can be found in that place called yahoo if you ever feel like collaborating on a report or two.

Thank you for the info on the liver shunts. We do have an appointment for our puppy Sadie to have the blood work done. If it is liver shunts I'm not sure what we will do, our vet has let us know that it is a very serious condition and the surgery will cost thousands and can only be performed at UC Davis or UC Berkley. For those that still may believe this is a hoax or an over reaction to one ill puppy I really want to stress that she isn't a person you want to do business with. Her web site has changed 3 times that I can find. It was biancaspuppies.com then yourtinypuppy.com and lastly it was preciousmaltipoos.com . I found more information about the breeder on answers.yahoo.com also I contacted the vet that did the pre-shipping exam at Kothmann Pet Hospital in San Antonio TX. He let me know she is being investigated by the Animal Care Services their phone number is (210) 207-6664. I hope this information helps.

I still am not sold on what is happening here. I have researched all day today and can only find these 2 reports on Bianca. Without putting your name or email it just seems to me it might not be true. Also was wondering the names of the pups and date of birth of them to match them up with the site and Nov and Dec pups because I do have them. Without a name or email it is hard to say these 2 stories are current or not. Checking back to see if anymore people come forward but for now still on the side these stories might be old. Checking Back.................kc

Have you run the liver function tests? You should do that. Does he suggest a possible shunt? Could the puppy be going hypo during these episodes? Does it go hypo often? I would run the tests, and not wait for someone else to tell you what's wrong with their puppy. Did you get a 1 year guarantee? A liver problem might fall into that. Did you get a contract period? What did it say? A recent ear infection can't really be attributed to the breeder, they get them all the time, allergies, damp conditions, home bathing without the use of a drying agent like rubbing alchohol, and hair in the ears can all be contributing factors there. Good luck to you.

We had a similar experience

#61Consumer Comment

Mon, January 26, 2009

I'm very sorry to say this report seems to be accurate. We bought a multipoo puppy from this breeder on 11/29/08 and we are still dealing with her many health issues. We had the same experience with the bloody stools and she has tested positive for Giardia, Coccidia, she had fleas and on 1/05/09 we discovered her ichyness was a case of scabies. Our pretty little puppy is a miserable mess, her hair has fallen out on her backside, shes been on two meds for the intestinal parasites, and it took two rounds to clear up the Giardia. She's had an antibiotic for the sores from the scabies, a topical med for the fleas and then later shots of Ivermectin for the scabies. Now she's on eardrops for an ear infection. She hasn't been healthy enough to get the rest of her immunizations so she's never allowed outside, and we've had to treat our other pets, the house as well as my whole family for scabies. Don't believe the false info out there on canine scabies not affecting humans, they do and it's miserable!! To top it off she has what appears to be some type of seizures or 'tic' her little body twitches and her mouth clicks open and shut. Our vet is suspecting some type of liver malfunction. We love our little puppy and she's so sweet but I hope someone out there reads this and saves themselves and their family the emotional (as well as financial) toll we've gone through. If anyone else has bought a puppy from this breeder with similar health issues, especially the seizures please post. We want to figure out whats wrong with our little one. Thanks.

If the story about Bianca is true why do you not leave your name for people to contact. I am just not sure the story is true and is current. What was the puppy's name on the site? and the date of birth? If you leave this information I may listen to this story. Again just not sure it is current.......

So, I frequent other sites which have to do with animals (my obsession in life), and guess what? I saw this post, pretty much copied and pasted. It turns out the actual original post was 3 years ago, and the whole actual thing apparently revolved around a breeder war. Everyone was quite irritated it seemed, because this sort of thing is not allowed on that site, and it was just someone trying to make trouble (apparently). So now the entire validity of this post is in question to me, and I thought others reading this might like to know.

I just did some prelimainary research, and I can't find much of anything regarding animals and/or breeding, resale, ect. in the state of texas. So, I'd definantly begin to work on changing that. Check out the other state puppy lemon laws, though most do specifically exclude parasites due to the nature of them. If you decide to persue this, the issue of the fact that the pnemonia DEVELOPED, as opposed to the puppy arriving with it, will most likely come up. However, pnemonia could be considered to be a 'life threatening illness' , and this DID develop within a pretty swift time period. And yes, stress is ALWAYS a factor. Have you tried sending her copies of ALL veterinarian information and whatever letters they care to write (certified), so that she may verify all of this on her own and consult her own veterinarian(s). This is a critical step in resolvement. This resolvement should be fair to BOTH parties. There is also the very important issue of any purchase contract and what you both agreed to in this contract. The contract doesn't change just because you are unhappy with it now. Looking now. If I found the correct site, it does say they are not responsible for any veterinarian bills, it notifies of parasites and deworming, says there are no refunds, they do not guarantee adult size, they must be immediately notified of any problems or contract is void, if the puppy dies within 30 days they must be notified with all appropriate veterinarian paperwork within 48 hours and you will then recieve a replacement puppy if the cause can not be linked to them (confirmed by her after consulting with her veterinarian) when available, says must be examined within 2 business days, and addresses vaccinations. States is the entire agreement between the 2 parties. I definantly wouldn't agree to this if it was me, but did you sign it? Have you asked to return the puppy with a refund of the purchase price? Have you asked to have a portion of the purchase price refunded? I can't say she'd be willing to work with you, just asking what options you have tried. Also, there are some tips to discuss with your veterinarian for colds and pnemonia in report number 318966. And yes, it is understandable that you are upset, but it is advisable to refrain from threats, scraming, name calling, ect. when dealing with her if you would like her to make an attempt to work things out with you. This does not tend to make people want to do more than they are required to do for you.
