Perry, This is a phishing scheme. The idea is to get you to click the link within the email, which takes you to a fraudulent web site (that could look very authentic, by the way). You are then supposed to provide all sorts of personal information (DOB, SSN, credit card or bank account numbers) so that this "mistake" can be cleared up. You should also conduct a full antivirus and spyware check on your computer, since clicking such links in unsolicited emails can also result in the installation of all sorts of nasty stuff on your hard drive.
