BITDEFENDER LLC. - DRI*DigitalRiver SCAM! Don't even attempt to get this virus protection! Fort Lauderdale Florida
I had bitdefender total security 2008 for a year.
I decided that since I felt this was an inferior anti-virus that after my 1 year subscription was up I would not be renewing. Well to my surprise it I got an email saying it was automatically renewing and that my bank account would be charged unless I opted out and went to cancel the auto-renewal.
SO I of course went and canceled the auto-renewal. I got a confirmation it was canceled. A few days later, I got another email saying my subscription would renew a few days later. I thought maybe the cancellation process did not work or something so I went and canceled two more times. Then on Feb. 5th I got a $69.95 charge to my account from DRI*DigitalRiver (bitdefender) for RENEWAL!
It took me a while to figure out that DRI*DigitalRiver is actually bitdefender and once I did get it. I tried to call their customer service. It was closed. So I attempted to email them. I still did not hear anything back from my email, so I went to the "LiveChat" support. They refused to give me a refund and they would send me a "ticket" telling me what I needed to get and I said NO! I Want my money back NOW! And the customer service representative ELIZABETH, left the chat and I could not re-enter into "LiveChat" support after that (she blocked me!) SO I emailed them again. I have called and emailed and still have no heard anything back.
Apparently there is alot to be missed as far as customer service, morals, values, and quality. Dont make the same mistake- STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
