BizBuySell.com BizBuySell.com makes you pay to list your business for sale, and then offers respondents information on OTHER business! San Francisco, California
I placed an ad at BizBuySell.com, and internet website that is designed to place information on your business that you are selling, and allows prospective buyers who are interested to contact you.
I paid $200 to run the ad, and I wanted to test it to make sure it worked. I clicked on my ad, and put my own email address as the interested party, and I received an automated response saying that the buyer would be contacting me shortly (one sentence). However, the email continued with an additional 5 solicitations which said "check out these other opportunities!!" and "interested in buying a franchise?? Check out these franchises for sale!!"
This is nothing short of bulls**t. I did NOT pay my hard-earned money to have BizBuySell.com place OTHER ads in my response emails. Does this make sense to anyone??.. Why would I want a respondent to my business ad to see offers of other businesses for sale?????..
Obviously BizBuySell.com is taking $$$ from these other businesses to allow them to be "tagged along" in this fashion. What a crock of s**t.
If this is acceptable to you, then by all means, use BizBuySell.com. However, if you are like me and want and expect respondents to your ad to get information ONLY ON YOUR BUSINESS, THEN I WOULD NOT SPEND A DIME HERE.
What a bunch of jerks to think that this is acceptable.
