This is our first time filing a rip off report. Normally, we take a loss quietly when small things go wrong as they occasionally do, but in this case the company in question, Black Ice Software, will likely continue to defraud other members of our community.
The PDF printer driver that we purchased was installed on one of our machines, it stopped working so we needed to re image the machine. After we re installed all of the software the original serial number that was supplied to us by Black Ice Software no longer worked. We contacted Blackice software and they told us we needed to re purchase the software we just purchased even though it's on the identical machine it was originally installed on. This is STEALING. These guys are scuzzy and lack basic business sense.
When I purchased the software the first time they had a price of $49.99 but when I hit the checkout button they forced me to purchase a service contract ( a service contract for a printer driver? ) which was an extra $12.50. The red flag was raised at that point but I was too lasy to search for another one so I just bought it. In retrospect I should have went with my gut,
The software they offer is nothing special and many other companies offer it. I would strongly suggest choosing one of them.
