Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Buyer Beware - Black Lights USA is fraudulently selling 395-405nm LED black lights as 365nm!

I purchased two 365nm black lights from this company and paid for 365nm, I need 365nm longwave true black light to charge glow stones. At 365nm they charge in seconds and 365 ultra violet light is barely visible and supposed to be a faint dark purple. What Blacklightsusa sent me instead were 2 395-405nm lights.

This is a serious scam they pulled and many customers don't understand what true UV light is so they figured they would rip me off just like anyone else visiting thier store. So exactly why is this a big deal and why should I care you ask? Because the process used to produce a 365nm LED black light is very expensive. Many companies are falsely labelling and then selling cheaper 405nm as 365nm. If you need and paid the price for 365nm make sure you get what you pay for.

I knew right away that what they sent me was not 365nm, far from it. The light wasn't even a faint purple for one and was bright with a more blue appearance. 395nm - 405nm does not charge (Strontium Aluminate Europium) glow stones in seconds and instead takes over an hour and you will not even get them fully charged at that wavelength.

I paid the price for 365nm and blacklightsusa advertised these lights as 365nm on thier web site. I got them to refund my money from Paypal but Blacklightsusa didn't even refund the shipping costs for the origional purchase or to send the lights back to them. As a result I've lost over $30,00 on this purchase.

If you are in the market for a 365nm black light do not buy from blacklightsusa, they are dishonest and fail to deliver the product they advertise on thier website. Worse still the employees I went back and fourth on in my emails asking that they send the 365nm I paid for were incompetent and don't even know what black light really is or even what "wavelength" is.

Below is the back and fourth hell I've had to go thrught with blacklightsusa

Please refund me for the entire amount you owe me for this purchase including the shipping costs. Otherwise I will have to file an official complaint with the Texas Attorney General's office on Black Lights USA for falsely advertising the above product as 365nm when in fact they are not 365.

That was what you ordered.  You said you wanted us to send you the correct light.  The only one we have in a green case is the one below.  That was what you ordered.   If you want to send it back for a refund, you are welcome to do so.

I am sure that you do know that a 365 nm black light fluorescence’s only those objects that ‘shine’ at 365…………….

None-the-less, if you want to return this, do so now.

The light came in a green plastic case, It is a black anodized aluminum body and has a green ring around it. It came with a charger and an 18650 battery. On your website it is labeled as a Powerhouse 3 watt 365nm, I ordered two of these for an operation that requires 365nm which is why I ordered them. The problem is this is not 365nm or anywhere near that. please see  below.

Ok

What was sent to me in error were two LED lights item #16337530 that are supposed to be 365nm black lights. These are NOT 365nm, do you know what wavelength is and how light is measured? That is the issue here, I paid for 365nm lights which is the wavelength I require for this project and what I was sent was was nowhere near 365nm.

Can you describe what was sent to you in error (I have a rather difficult time trying to answer your question “why was I not sent the 365nm I paid for”  - apparently there was an error.)  Are you really asking how the error occurred?

Was the light that was sent to you in a green plastic case?  As you might be able to figure out, I am trying to see if an incorrect item was mailed to you or you are just unhappy with the proper unit.

Yes I see that which you refer to in your email on your site. In fact I ordered the Powerhourse 3 watt 365nm yet what was sent to me was NOT 365nm, not only were the two units I ordered not 365nm they were not even close to that wavelength!.  that is the issue I have with this order, the issue here is why was I not sent the 365nm I paid for?

I'm aware they are LEDs, the issue is the wavelength is not 365nm or anywhere near that. All I need is the 365 as advertised which is what I paid for.

Please understand that these are not bulbs.  They are LED lights.  This is not the same as the old fashioned screw in bulbs.

When I return the lights can't you guys just resend them to me with 365nm bulbs. I'd prefer the right bulbs rather than a refund. I paid for 365nm as advertised and I need that wavelength for an important project.

You are welcome to return the lights.  Just make a copy of the invoice, write on it,  ‘return for refund’.  Mail the lights to the address on the invoice.

Greetings

I need to return two of your black lights that you sent me as they are not 365nm as advertised. I have a very specific need for this wavelength. These flashlights are in the 390nm range and are nowhere near 365nm. Please see below.
