Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was talked into signing up for training sessions against my better judgment by a trainer and was promised when i did if I could not afford it I could cancle at any time. I tried THREE times to cancel a week before the charge date and was given the run around. I was told I would be called back twice never received a call back. So I was charged for two sessions I had no money to pay for. Now I discover that on top of that I was also charged $5o for a sign up fee that NO ONE told me about. When I called to ask about the charge the women I talked to, who has the same attitude they all have, told me it was a new charge and then waited to see what else I wanted or had to say. They in no way tried to solve the issue or look into it. I have been told they cannot refund me my money even though I have not seen a trainer. This is my first and last experienve with a gym. I have a medical condition that makes it overly hard to lose weight and decided a gym might help me get into better shape and health. All it has done is cause me more stress and health problems from that stress. I have never been treated so horribly in my life. I will not stop here until I see something has been done about this horrible business.

Read Agreement thouroughly

I used to work for the company, the 50 charge is a one time set up fee that is taken at initial sign up, impossible for it to be taken at a later date, the system doesn't work that way. Read all agreements you sign carefully and fully, your signature on the agreement means "you agree" to terms and conditions.
All BLAST programs require a 30 day notice to cancel, meaning when you cancel, one more month of payments will be drawn out regardless of whether you use the sessions or not. However, you do have a full year to use the sessions or could even pass them on to a friend or family member. You can not cancel in the club, it must be done through customer service via email or phone call, takes 5 minutes to do and is even easier than going in club and speaking with manager, can be done from home.
Lastly, there is a 3 day buyers remorse, you buy law have 3 days to cancel for a full refund. The paperwork given is 2 pages front and back and takes minimal time to ready and states everything you agreed to. If you are willing to pay money for a service take 5-10 minutes to read what you sign, if you do not agree, you have 3 days to cancel.
Most complaints are due to a lack of understanding the agreement, reading it will help to understand.

READ WHAT YOU SIGN

#3Consumer Suggestion

Fri, August 17, 2012

Enough said. It is 2012 and for one reason or another people STILL do not read what they sign their names to. I think that once people start reading the agreements that they sign the number of complaints will drop tremendously. This should be a time to reflect and learn from mistakes rather than criticize an establishment that has clear cut guidelines and expectations. Blast Fitness does not "trick" anyone into signing anything. They offer a service, go through the package in person, email a copy of the agreement, AND print out a hard copy of that agreement which is handed to the individual personally by an employee. Bottom line...people, please spend more effort getting in shape and less time complaining. It will only benefit you I promise. No more excuses, transform your life today! Blast Fitness can help.
