On the 28th of August, I received this enticing offer from Blockbuster:
Subject: Come Back to BLOCKBUSTER and Earn PayPal Cash
Dear XXXXXX,
We want you to come back to BLOCKBUSTER Total Access and see how easy it is to use PayPal to pay for your
subscription. And right now, we're offering you $25 in your PayPal account when you pay for your BLOCKBUSTER Total Access subscription with PayPal.
To get $25 in your PayPal account, just click the button below and simply choose PayPal as your method of payment. Once you become a paid subscriber, we'll automatically deposit $25 in your account!

Apparently buried in the small print it does say offer is only good for "new" members. Not quite sure how a "new" member could "come back". The email is clearly an attempt to defraud. When I signed up, not only do they now claim I did not enter their site through the email (I did), but they insist they are not going to make it right.
I will be canceling this account after I receive written and signed receipts from the store when I physically return their movies.
If anyone else has been duped by this and you need another hat in the ring, consider mine tossed in....
