Blockbuster Total Access Plan changed Oct. 2008. They did not advise customers that the in-store exchange plan (5 for my plan) were no longer going by month to month dates (ie...5 exchanges from 9/1 to 9/30). Instead, after much research, it was discovered that they moved the dates of the exchanges "up to one's billing dates". What this did was make most consumers miss out on 3-4 weeks of movie rentals (5 for me), since I could not do any exchanges from October to today's present date of Nov 22 (5 weeks, 6 movies). No telling how many other customers lost out while "waiting for their billing cycle to start over". I was told when I called their Customer Service, that I would see my in-store exchanges reset to 5 on the 22nd of November (it's been 0 since the middle of October) and it's STILL 0, and it's November 22nd. That's a month(or more)) I've not been able to use in-store exchanges (approx. Oct. 15th was the last time my exchanges worked). They have NOT honored the "Total Access" subscription since this change, and I'm still being charged the same fee along with losing out on all in-store exchanges. They really pulled a good on on us this time, with their non-published change in policy. Same price, no exchanges, the promise of the 22nd seeing our account reset the available in-store exchanges, and just plain not honoring what I've purchased.

Regardless of the program and free exchanges, rentals can be given at 1.99 as opposed to 4.99 which is 3$ off. Not so bad. And employees are in the store letting customers know about this. Most customers that I've talked to about it have actually liked the change because it's easier to keep up with. Also...you're saying "November 22" is when the movies restart. Did you go to a blockbuster on November 22nd? Date Created: 11/22/2008 10:10:58 AM Last Modified: 11/22/2008 10:11:00 AM That was the date and time of this "rip-off report." Blockbuster opens at 10am, pretty much, every store. I'm doubting you were able to go to Blockbuster, find out you couldn't make exchanges yet, come back and type the whole thing up. I'm also betting you did go to a store and did get those free exchanges and are probably going to forget all about this because you got a few free movies. And perhaps, you should have waited another day ;)
