Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Watch your employees. They will stop at no ends to steal them away. They will dangle the golden carrot in front of them and convince them it's better on the their side of the street. The terrible thing is, the dealer will never live up to their end of the bargain. They care less about their employees, and more of the bottom line.

An example is a company that serviced Lanphere enterprises faithfully and completely for over five years. Never saying no and building a business to meet their overblown salesman like expectations. This company did this for Lanphere unselfishly for all of this time only to have the Lanphere group go behind this business and cherry pick their employees from under them. This happened when they decided they didn't feel like outsourcing any longer.

Understanding the dealer is all about the bottom line, in house staffing is ideal. What would be honest and ethical would be to find people, other than your own dedicated vendor, and send them off to training. Teach them the trade and develop them into a profitable resource.

Don't steal them from the little guy that has refinanced his own home several times to accomplish this himself. Control your own staff you may be saying...well, all was well until Lanphere dug deep and made whatever promises would convince them. Again..any promise they made is either a lie, or temporary. I'm sick to my stomach over this.

I'm putting this situation with Lanphere to rest. It's interesting how you see and understand your anger and feelings through a blog like this. It's also helps you realize how spilling info regardless of your feelings is probably not the best course of action. I had actually written the report only after weeks of non returned emails and calls from Lanphere. No one within the organization felt the need to communicate in any way about what was occurring. As in the first text, after years of service I actually felt almost part of the group in many ways and I guess assumed entitlement to certain courtesies. Regardless, I am a professional and understand business is business, but have always felt that business is nothing but personal. It's how you treat others and the respect it demands of you. Regardless, I do not make it a habit to badmouth anyone in my line of work and in hindsight, regardless of emotion or situation, I should have kept my feelings private. Anyone who has dealt with me personally or in business knows my character and who I am. If my view of the situation offended anyone within the Lanphere group I apologize for making it public. I do appreciate the communication we had this weekend.

I guess that's one way to look at it!The issue I have is not with you, but the way Lanphere handled the issue. You made your decision, influenced or not. However you justify it or explain it away to yourself is up to you. I had years of relations with Lanphere before you came along...I would not expect you to grasp this company's devotion to that organization. You have an interesting member name....Vengeance. Merriam Webster defines it as this...: punishment inflicted in retaliation for an injury or offense : Enough said?

I am one of the ex-employees of the "small business" that was mentioned earlier. I am writing this on my own free will without the Lanphere Organization's knowledge. Yes, I was approached by a couple of employees of the Lanphere organization in reference to employment with them. It is a common thing in my prior line of work. I was offered a position in just about every dealership that I serviced. I never even considered it until problems arose. The problems came from within the small business that I previously worked at. Internal struggles, conflicts with management, and lack of work is why three of the former employees left, not because we were swooned with lavish salaries and ballooned expectations. As a matter of fact, we went over with the same pay-plan as we had with the small company, but with the guarantee that we would have dealership inventory to work. Nothing more. In our line of work, that's all you want, is steady work.
