Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We got boned at the Bonefish Grill in Crofton (Gambrills) Md. My wife and I went out for a special romantic evening. It was the worst dining experience that I can recall. As we entered we walked through the bar and went up to the two young women at the entrance to the dining room. I said, "there will be two of us for dinner".

One of the "hostesses" said, I think you'll enjoy it in our bar area. We have some nice high tables (Duh?). My wife hates sitting in the bar area when we go to a nice restaurant but she is timid about expressing herself. I was floored when she said "that will be OK." Not wanting to overrule her we were pointed toward a tiny table in the bar area.

There were occupied tables (about 2 1/2') to either side of us making any type of private or romantic conversation impossible. There were also 2 large screen TVs blaring further emphasizing a bar atmosphere. I don't care to be bombarded with electrons when trying to have a romantic dinner. If I wanted to go out and watch a ballgame while drinking Jack Daniels with a bunch of drunk guys it would have been OK.

I went to use the bathroom and had to walk through the dining room. It was over half empty with some nice 2 - person tables and booths available. I should also mention, two couples, both with children, were also steered into the bar area for some reason which I can not fathom.

To top off the evening, my shrimp dinner was awful. The shrimp tasted and smelled like a dirty beach at low tide. Needless to say there is something Fishy going on at the Bonefish Grill. I will never go there again and I'll be sure to tell my friends about my experience. It ruined the entire evening.

He was polite but that was about it. About being steered to the bar, apparently that was to balance the number of customers for the 'wait staff'. That is not my issue, the customer should come first. About the fishy shrimp, "it would be looked into".

The facts are we got seated in the bar area and got a not-so-great meal. Those are retaurant issues and not the "failings" of the customer. When you send a meal back, your partner has to wait and let their meal get cold or eat by themselves and then the returned meal also gets eaten alone.

I don't believe I've ever sent a meal back. I let my business (or lack thereof, do the talking). Other bonefish grills may be wonderful but that was not my experience at the one we went to in Crofton.

I've eaten at Bonefish restaraunts all over the country.  They are invariaby clean, well run, and serve delicious seafood (and steaks).  I havee never been denied at Bonefish if I ask for a table (rather than a booth), or if the meal doesn't meet my expectations.....send it back!

Youseem to be telling us more about your failings than Bonefish.
