Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This "law office" sent me a letter stating that my husband owed money to AEP from a seven year old account. I asked for documentation and said I would make payment arrangements only after I had seen the original paperwork. I have yet to receive any proof on their part.

Do NOT be intimidated by these people. Hang up on them. Keep your letters as proof of their harrassment and record the dates of any correspondence.

Send complaints to the New Jersey Attorney General, your state's Attorney General, the Postmaster General, your local police, and every consumer association you know of.

Check your state's statute of limitations and get a copy of your credit record right away. I did, and there is no record of our owing AEP anything. Statues of limitations are wonderful things!

Do not acknowledge any debt in your correspondence or else they can claim that you agreed to pay them money!!

Ask for their bar association or licensure number. Ask for a non- 1-800 phone or fax number. Guaranteed they will refuse to, which in fact is a violation of your consumer rights. These are criminals have no legal foot to stand on. They represent a fraudulant organization staffed by incompetents.

Do not succumb to their tactics!!!
