Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I have been driving a cargo van for him for close to two months now, which he has leased on with Bolt Express in Toledo, Ohio. I have made several requests to hom to email pay statements each week, so I know which loads paid out, fuel deductions, detention pay, deadhead pay, fuel surcharge, etc. He never did send anything, even though he claimed he did, after I got into an argument with him on the phone one day, and stated "what difference does it make? it's not going to change how much you get paid." Apparently I'm not the only driver he has ripped-off....I'm pretty sure he has stolen from other drivers, including those driving for him at FedEx Custom Critical.

I recently drove close to 2000 miles in one week, and was only paid a little over $300, and he claimed that Bolt Express must have deducted some money, because I was leaving the company. There isn't one freight expedite company out there that does such a thing. My guess is he owes back taxes, or is up to his eyeballs in debt, and has to resort to stealing from his drivers to pay his bills. This sad part is, Bolt Expresss won't do anything except talk with him and try to find out what is going on, and of course lies will be spewing from his mouth. I figure the only way to get any real records on just how much he has stolen from me, is to have an attorney subpoena them, then work it it from there.

Simple if you start driving for bolt you have aproximately 450 .00 of non refundable fees plus your personal physical that you can take anywhere (150.00to 300.00).depends on what tests are required.which includes a drug screen. Then there may be bus tickets and Uber fees and possibly hotel rooms depending what is agreed upon. So don't start with bolt and drive only a short time you will hardly make it into the pay cycle before deductions come your way. Every one at bolt and boyer truck inc explain this but no one listens . Some companies are better some are worse, some big trucks pick some of these expenses up. Sorry we don't .We expect you to be a independent contractor ,get treated that way and act that way.
