Dear Mr. Brown:

We purchased a 1996 Nissan Altima from Brown and Brown Nissan. We were told at the time of purchase the vehicle had been inspected and was in excellent condition. Several weeks after purchasing the vehicle, we received a call from Brown and Brown asking to come and pick-up the vehicle because paperwork was missing and the car needed to be checked to complete the paperwork.

I informed the rep from Brown and Brown of a possible leak under the car. He informed me the car had been rechecked and there were no leaks.

When we received the vehicle back we noticed a sound from the car. We decided to take the vehicle to another automotive shop to have it checked. Upon inspection of the vehicle, a number of discrepancies were found including only 10 percent of the brakes left. It was obvious from the amount of repairs that was needed that the vehicle was never checked. The estimate for the repairs was almost $1000.

I took the car back to Brown and Brown and they agreed to make the repairs. It took them about two weeks to make the repairs. While driving the car home from the Brown and Brown, I heard the same sound. We took the car back the next day.

Presently, the engine does not seem to be operating as smooth as it should. Additionally, the CD player and horn has stopped working.

Several weeks after purchasing our vehicle, we noticed a newer model of the same type vehicle for a less expensive price.

It is evidence at the time of sale that the vehicle had not been inspected and repairs had not been made.

dditionally, we question what really happened when the car was picked up from our house and we were told a second time that all was well with the car. We feel that Brown and Brown Nissan can not be trusted. They mislead and violated our trust.

We are requesting that they replace our vehicle with a newer model at the same price or provide a financial reimbursement.We wrote Brown and Brown Nissan a letter requesting a reply. Brown and Brown Nissan did not reply to our letter.
