I almost got suckered into the "free" offer by Berman. I actually ordered the book, and then (Thank God) stumbled across the Rip Off Report minutes later.

I read the truth about the company and immediately called the after hours customer service line.

I was offered a reduction to $14.95 (what a coinkydinky!) if I kept the CD's.

Never raising my voice, I told Mr. Smith (if that's his name) that I want them to cancel the order altogether, and since the order couldn't have been sent out yet (it is midnight here in Georgia), this shouldn't be a problem.

Mr. Smith asked me four times in a row why I wanted to cancel. I could have been a tape recorder the way I monotoned to him about having read some extremely damaging reviews(go ripoff report!) about the program and that my faith in the company was shaken.

He "consulted" with his supervisor, and came back with how I would have 30 days to return the product and yada-yada-ed until he said the words "I promise".

At this point I informed him that our call was being recorded on my end (the old bill collector in me believes heavily in CYA), so he should be very selective on the words he used as a representative of the company. You could have almost heard his heart beating!

A final "consulting session" ended with a "24 to 72 hour" credit to my card, and a verification of my email address, so on and so forth. I turned the tables completely around by repeating verbatim everything he stated and having HIM say YES in affirmation!

Glory to God! I think he will do all he stated in regards to the cancellation, but seeing how slick the company is already, I am taking no chances.

I cancelled my card EVEN BEFORE calling them. 7 days without my card will be more bearable than going through the anguish others have gone through on this website. I pray that everyone that has complaints get their issues resolved, and that even if you don't get it directly, that you will receive many other blessings to make up for it since you care enough to publish your mistakes in an effort to help others. The Berman Investment Group has a 100% return policy and we will accept any book or CD's in saleable condition for a full credit. In addition, we do not ship unordered products and our web site clearly indicates, in several places, our terms and conditions and return policy of our offers. An insert is also shipped with all of our products informing the consumer on how to return any materials if they desire a return. The Berman Investment Group Customer Care Center is open Monday Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST. After hours customer service is available 7-days a week. The Customer Care Center and after hours center can be reached toll free at (877) 237-6265.
