07/24/04 went to the Bruce Titus Automotive Group to buy a car, and met with their salesman (Brent McKinnell). We talked about a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser and I told him about the internet price of $19,265. We wanted no options, trying to get the cost down. The dealer said yes he would cut the options as we wanted. He said he could work around that price. No price was given, except they would give me $11,500 for my 2002 Hyundi Sonta as trade-in.

The only time I saw the total cost, was when I was signing a ton of paper work. The total price is $26350 including $1575 for items and full options that was not even mentioned to us. They charged me the full cost. So that was Base Price and the Manfacturer Suggest Retail Price and additional $3500 North West Dealer Cost, with all options that we asked to be removed. So they gave me a rebate of $4000 plus my trade-in, which gave me a $11,003.31 total amount to be financed.

I thought I could pay $198.00 a month for car payments, and I was told they could finance me at 8.9%. We got the car in three days. We went back to the dealer, the day after the first day and said I was disabled and I could not afford to make that high of payments for the cruiser. They knew I was disabled because I said I was on a fixed income for being disabled, when asked about my income. We went back to the car dealership, and they said we could look around. We looked around for a afternoon. Found several cars by the price that could fit my budget. The car dealership and the dealer would not deal with us.

My girlfriend and my self was told to stand by the outside of the office of Carl Williams, one of the dealership managers, Brent said for us to wait until they come up with some ideas. We both over heard them laughting, and talking about how we was screwed. Then another sales man directed us to a couch, and were the coffee machine was.

The car I received has a spoiler on the back, 16" crome wheels, and we had talked with the salesman about going with standard 15" wheels, and its loaded with options. Every options we asked to be removed, was on this car.

This cost me $11,500 for my trade-in because Bruce Titus did not want to deal with us, and I had to go to another dealership to get a car, that I could afford.

This dealership said the 2004 PT Cruiser was only worth $14,000 because they are selling around $19,000 with a $4,000 dollar rebate. So now I owe money on another car, one year earler then the PT Cruiser, and I can afford to make payments on this car. But why do they have to screw over people who are disabled? I really got taken to the cleaners, all because they saw my disabled veterans license plates?

My 2002 Hyndyi Sontra, with 14000 miles, was rip off from me, by the sells people. They took my car, and charge me $29,000 for a 2004 Pt Cruiser. Even thro the retail price was $19,000, they would not allow me to see the paper work, the sells person keep telling me one price. And I would get all these extra items included in the costs. To make matters worse, the PT Cruiser, was not anything like what we had talk about in our pruchase agreement. I want the standard model, I received the Touring Model, with everything in it that I didn't want. Then thinking I would get the car I wanted? We went to sign papers, after being there all day, talking about deals, I was thrown alot of papers to sign. I never had a chance to read them or see the true costs of the Pt Cruiser until all papers were signed. They make you feel like they are giving you the best deal in town. Yet in the long term of things, they will do all they can to rip you off, so they met their quotes. Even laugh about you while your standing there. Now they said they would sue me if I didn't take this off. People beware of this dealer, and the sells people. They love to tell you lies, then do everything different, just to get you to buy a car.
