My wife took our vehicle to Budget Brakes in Nashville Tn around 9 months ago as we needed new brake pads. They gave us a life-time warranty. My friends, that warranty means little. Not only did the pad on the right go bad, but we had to pay for additional work and Labor.  They made us purchase a new rotar from their garage or they would not put on the pads. They also charged me for re-surferring the front left rotar but did not do the work. I had two certified mechanics inspect their work. So I had to pay 317.50 for something that should have been free, according to their national advertised commercial. If you live in Nashville and need brake repairs, do not go budget brakes or you may end up with the same experiemce as myself and my wife.

In response to the attached complaint I believe that some very relevant facts need to be disclosed in order to determine if in fact we did anything wrong or not.  As with any service there are two sides to each story.  On February 3rd, 2012 the customer came in for repair work for a 2008 GMC Yukon with 97,162, they had the front pads replaced, we resurfaced the rotors and replaced the broken brake hardware for $ 158.29

The customer returned on May 3rd 2013, 15 months and 28,468 miles later.  Unfortunately  the right front caliper failed  damaging the rotor and the brake pads. We replaced the brake pads for free parts and labor under our warranty. The caliper and rotor had no warranty because we did not replaced them at anytime, any additional parts or labor is the responsibility of the customer.  The customer approved the work that needed to be done and we finished the job accordingly.

To say that we did not properly fix the job the first time is unfair, we installed new parts and completed the job properly otherwise they would not have put another 28,468 more miles on the vehicle.  As to why the caliper failed we do not know, there could be hundreds of reason why.  We take great pride at communicating with our customers, Customer Service has their number on every invoice, business card, website and all over the walls of our shop.

We are saddened that this customer would not reach out to us first and communicate.  Instead they choose to write a negative post.  A true test of a retail establishment is not the initial sale but how you respond to customers when problems occur.  In this case I was never given a chance and to say the work was never done is malicious.

I have made several attempts to make contact with no return call. I can be reached by phone or text at 615-260-5859 or email [email protected]

Thank you,

Michael
