Buffett Senior Health Bate and switch. A training "tuition" disguised as a lucrative job opportunity Nationwide
I received an offer via email to interview with Buffett Senior Healthcare. They specialize medicare supplements and other products.
So after I expressed interest, a short time later (too short me thinks) I recieve a call from a "hiring manager" Anna Robinson who has a distinct indian accent with the call sounding like it's off-shore. (first red flag). She congradulates me on making it to a second interview.
She then sets me up for a scheduled webinar the very next day (1 hour long) that describes the opportunity for a exclusive territorial sales position and all the money that can be made. Convincing pitch, I have to say.
She also schedules me for a second inerview for the next day with Mr. Waters. He is reading from a set script, inserting my first name frequently and also has a distinct accent. My spider sense is starting to tingle. He explains and insists I take notes on information which has already been gone over even insisting that I tap the pen on the table just so he can make sure I'm ready to take notes. Weird...but OK, i'll see it through... It does sounds though like more of a pitch than a job interview as he asks few quest
It is only after I'm on the phone (the next day of course) with Jacob that I realized I've been had - almost. "SMTA (Jacob explains) is contracted with Buffett as a training "academy" and that the tuition is $1000 up front".
Nice try. Bill my card, schedule me, and then dissapear is what I'm thinking. They talk a lot about spending thousands on you for paid training so they are looking for "just the right people"and all and then want you to drop a grand up front for "tuition"?

Using names that are distinctly 'Americana" like Mr. Waters, Anna Robinson, Buffett, and even someone called Jonathan Rothchild. Sorry...I'm not buying it!
I'd like to hear if anyone else has "been offered" an "exclusive territory" from these folks or who have actually attended this "training academy".
