ALMOST ALWAYS, whenever we go to any fast food establishment inside or through drive thru, they leave out food, get the order completely wrong, we are charged too much/too little, etc.; it is always something. Also, some of the people are paid more than they want you to believe, I wouldn't really blame the pay, I'd more likely blame quality of people or morale.

I had a BK job as my first. Got me through university (living at home) so I stuck there for almost 4 years. Now, as a customer, I see the service in most of the fast food restaurants in serious decline. Back in the 80s, the mantra was 'fast food served fast'. IMO, BK tried harder than McD to get things right, and so were a little slower. But they were all pretty good on the 'fast' part. The 'food' part, well, we all know what the food is like. When I go now, I always go inside to order. You can watch what they're about to forget and remind them before walking away. The drive thru is just too much of a gamble. Even inside, I find myself shaking my head at what goes on. Now they seem to be working on 'fast food served slow'. I could go to Denny's if that's what I wanted. At least there you can chug coffee while you're waiting.

I am sorry, I started off in a fast food place when I was a teen and I was able to make change, get my orders correct and do what I was told. I am not saying that I loved my job, I hated it and quickly moved on, but while I was there I did the best job I could do. What happened to that kind of employee? Where are the snotty bosses that used to run these places? I eat at fast food places for convience just like everyone else, when I want good food and great service I do go elsewhere. But to not put an egg on an egg dish ? You are right Coralville is run by tards.

It's because the employer cannot legally pay them less. When you have to deal with a minimum wage employee, you can expect to get that same level of competence. I made MW once. I got my first pay increase the following day. Find another place to eat. Try a real restaurant if you don't want to deal with tards.
