How to get money back from C.P. Direct
Just like the hundreds of other people that have written about this company, my husband and I also got caught up in this scam. My husband ordered this product as a joke for a christmas present. He ordered 2 bottles in November 2001. We then have continued to be sent to product, even though we have cancled and send back the product still in the packaging and ofcourse RECIEVED NO REFUND. Every month like clock work, the $46.20 comes out of our checking account. I was shocked to discover all the others with this same problem. After discovering this web site, I went to my bank the next day.
I sat down with a rep from my bank and she said that this scam is common, and happens all the time. First, she canceled my account so that there can be no more withdrawls. Next, she had my husband and I fill out some paperwork and it was notarized by a bank official. Then, we went though out statements and found every transaction that had been taken out from C.P. Direct and added up the total. We were then told to file a police report with out local department. Upon filing the paperwork, our bank refunded our money that was taken unlawfully from C.P. Direct. I feel stupid writing this, but I though I would if it could help anyone else out there.
