calhoun movers, inc. Jerry Vance a very unethical man vardaman, Mississippi
I bought a home from Mr. Vance on April 15, 2011. At first I was very excited about the purchase but throughtout the process of dealing with him, I got very discouraged, frustrated and felt very manipulated.
First of all, it took him a little over a month to deliver the home and when it was delivered, I quickly discovered that there were a lot of repairs that had not been done to the home--an unstable floor in certain rooms of the house, damaged sheetrock on the walls, and missing shingles on the roof. In addition, he had promised that a stove would come with the house but it didn't.
There is also a missing piece of vinyl on the outside of the house that he said would be replaced and it wasn't. Although the defect is at the back of the house, he still said that he would do something that he didn't do.
He also failed to put in the ac unit. So after paying him all of this money which equals a sum of $10,000 dollars, I had to pay someone to install the unit. He also failed to bring a set of steps to the house which made it very difficult to get in and out.
After the house was delivered, it took him over a week to come and set it up. He kept putting me off despite the fact that I had given him $10,000 of my hard earned money.
Mr. Vance is a very unprofessional man and runs a shady business because he does not make good on his word but he still wants to get paid. He kept using the excuse about not having enough reliable help but that is not my concern. If he can't deliver as expected, he should find another line of work. If I ever have to buy another mobile home, I promise not to ever look his way. I would
