Waldorf,#2Consumer Suggestion

I have a few suggestions to your problem. First, as long as this was in writing (as you told us) and no where on that paper does it state that they will charge you an additional amount to clean up their mess, so to speak, then contact you attorney generals office and file a complaint. They don't have the right to charge you an additional amount after one amount was assured in writing. My parents had the same problem about 10 years ago when they were selling their home and needed to replace the septic tank. The whole same problem, the huge hole in the yard, etc. After they threatened to go to their attorney general and to get an attorney, the company came back out and finished the job. You see cleaning up, is part of their job that you've paid for. The other thing you could do, is to call your local Health Department and file a complaint. Once you do, they send someone out and investigate the smell, damage, etc. They will file a report, fine the company and see to it that the company complies with Health Codes, which this is in violation of. The Health department is probably your best bet, they work a lot faster. Good Luck!
