CAMERA CENTRE INC 8000 INTERNATIONAL DRIVE FLORIDA MOST PROFESSIONAL RIP OFF MERCHANTS OF I DRIVE CAMERA CENTER 8000 I DRIVE Orlando, Florida
We are senior tourists from Australia who recently spent a week in Orlando. We enjoyed this week immensely especially the people, sights, theme parks, the Quality Inn Hotel and the Caribbean Cruises we did from Port Canaveral.
We also enjoyed dealing with HONEST stores, Wal Mart, Best Buys, Florida Mall etc. However, we had the misfortune to pick up the Enjoy Florida Magazine in our hotel on the last morning and to enter Camera Centre at 8000 I Drive.
We were coerced by a "FRENCH" employee of theirs (his name for the day was Gilbert - though there were three others in the store) to buy a D5000 Nikon Digital DSLR for USD1400 which is USD500 more than any other place which I have since discovered. This man is a smooth talking rip off merchant. They don't have a website but if you look at the Camera Center wsebsite there are so many disgruntled local and foreign tourists that have been cheated by this company.
I rang them and complained and they told me they were a "Mom & Pop" store and bought only one item for sale and did not buy in bulk. This does not mean that they should charge nearly double for the one item.
Orlando is such a beautiful spot and it is a shame there is one small thieving shop, in such a prominent location in I Drive, that is spoiling its image and leaving local and foreign tourists so thoroughly disappointed. i sincerely hope there are NO MORE "MOM AND POP" STORES in I Drive like these cheats. Their business seems to thrive with them being RIP OFF MERCHANTS. I have also complained to BBB and Orange County Fraud who have been unable to do anything about this issue so I must be content with commenting on websites to make other unaware and innocent tourists aware of these people.
